Felt like I was in Tuscany!
Wow wow wow , food was delicious and service was impeccable.
Salad had freshest produce and was a large portion, and just perfectly dressed. The seafood Pasta was perfectly Al dente and loved the salmon roe touch it made it pop. Finished with the Oso bucco and one of the best swordfish I’ve had in a long time.
Thank again for
Kudos to all the female chefs that were making the food and our amazing server. We will be coming back again
Olive and Hay is one of the restaurants in Meritage resort.
The restaurant is modern American serving pizza, steak and poultry.
The food is excellent but the service needs some improvement. Overall the response is slow, we tried both dinner and breakfast, but we were left unattended for a good 5-10 mins.
Started with pizza. The honey really set off the heat of the sauce and sausage. The bread was fresh, warm and incredible. Spaghetti was with the same sausage as the appetizer, but really needed the honey to soften the heat. The pasta was fresh but was over powered by the heat of the sauce. The Tagatelli was soft and held the sauce well. Meatballs were really tasty and the pasta would have shone with pasta together. The Italian donuts for dessert stole the show, they truly melted in your mouth with the warm chocolate topping. After a month :
Still talking about this dinner
The food was tremendous and they had a lot of unique options. Everything felt fresh and well made, and the presentation was always beautiful.
Look at the menu costs beforehand to brace yourselves, but it’s the only game in town if you’re staying at the hotel, so you might as well commit to it.
Everyone who served us was incredibly nice, and we had the materadee(?) come over and put napkins on all our laps, and later pour chocolate hearts for us during dinner.
They met all our requests with more than we could have asked for!
