Peralta Canyon Park

Address: 115 N Pinney Dr, Anaheim, CA 92807, USA

Park

“Beautiful, peaceful park with lots of handicapped-accessible parking spaces and walkways. The park includes a basketball court, baseball diamond, large fields for flying kites, and big shady trees for picnics. The barbecue and table area is very nice as well, (although it is roped off/unaccessible temporarily due to the pandemic). Parking is close to the tables so it's easy to unload for parties, picnics, etc. The park also includes a public restroom and a children's playground area. Lots of dog-walkers are there in the evening, which is nice - although a lot of them are off leash, which can be frustrating. The park is located between an elementary school and a beautiful, safe, little neighborhood. All in all, it's a great place to visit.”

“Came here for a walk with my dog. We parked outside of the park, so the parking is free. There are paid Parkin available inside the park. There are ponds/lakes. I saw people fishing here. Paddle boats are available, but I don't know how much it costs. There are plenty of playgrounds, volleyball fields, and baseball fields throughout the park. This is very beautiful park, and very clean. There are free plastic poo bags available everywhere in the trail if you forgot to bring yours. Will come back again.”

“I've been taking my dog(s) to parks for over 7 years this park is in my top 10, just unbelievable beauty, especially now with Spring turning the hills green. There is so much bird wildlife I just sit back and try and mimic the sounds the variety of species there make, everything is alive there and if you want a peaceful, tranquil place to collect your thoughts it's definitely a great choice. Taken some great pics of my dogs just loving life and blessed to have parks like this in my neighborhood.”

“I come to this location on Wed since the Orange location which I prefer just based on size/location is closed for cleaning. I have gone to many and this is my 2nd fave. Clean for a dog park. Since it's sand and fake grass my dog gets less dirty, but unfortunately my only complaint is that it's just kinda small other it's wonderful. So thankful that the owners are good about their dogs and also cordial.”

Walnut Canyon Reservoir

Address: Periphery Rd, Anaheim, CA 92807, USA

Park

“We live near Walnut Canyon Reservoir. I typically run or walk the periphery trail 3x/week. The trail is 1.7 miles. It's my favorite place to run because the trail is paved and fairly level except a few areas with mild grades. The area and scenery are beautiful with lots of waterfowl, e.g. ducks and geese, and the occasional hawk, eagle, or owl. You'll often see cottontail rabbits and occasionally come across coyotes at dawn and dusk so you'll want to either have a walking/running companion or carry mace. The neighbors and fellow trail walkers are friendly and welcoming. The views on clear days are beautiful; you can even see downtown Los Angeles in the distance. Be careful on windy days, e.g. Santa Ana winds, as you walk the trail over the earthen dam since the winds funnel over the dam and become stronger. Walnut Canyon Reservoir is definitely a plus in the Anaheim Hills area.”

“My sister had her wedding here and it’s quite lovely. If you are an Anaheim residents you get a little discount off the full price. The paper process is quite lengthy but they are very patient. You get to come and rehearse once before the actual wedding. Your wedding vendor must all have proper licenses to work on site. Parking is very limited and it’s a first come first serve basis. It’s quite majestic to have your wedding under nature’s canopy, with a creek right behind you. Wedding guests sits on benches made from trees. You have two hours for the whole process, ceremony, cleanup, and photos. If you want to take photos on the site, you have to pay a little extra.”
