“You never know what you're going to find. I like buying loaves of bread and pasta; all 99c, of course, but you'll pay over 2.99 elsewhere. Some employees are rude, but I can only imagine how they are treated by the people they encounter daily while they work. Sometimes you get lucky and find really good yogurt too. Contrary to popular belief, I've never purchased anything that has expired or is too close from it. Most stuff has a month or more to go before the best by date, which is plenty of time to consume it.”

“We found this donut shop about two years ago when our son started his private tennis lessons in Brea. It was by accident when looking for some coffee and donuts while waiting during the lessons. They by far have the freshest donuts around. When I say “around”, I live in Downey near a Randy's donut and I make the 23 miles trip to Brea for these fresh pieces of goodness at SY donuts.
