Sensei Fukuda is an excellent instructor as well, his knowledge and real life situation applications will keep you from getting hurt. Alot of other arts teach the mumbo jumbo fantasy that doesn't work and can get you killed, rest assured - the technical stand up and groundwork you learn here may save your life one day! I can't wait to start fully training when I get time.”

“Love the Scan & Go! It’s so quick, easy, and convenient. Just a tip for those that like to make a quick trip, park further away from the entrance. It’s always congested near the front entrance where people are waiting for closer parking. I park by Carl’s Jr. and it’s faster to walk from there. It’s also easier to get out of that area because I’m so close to the traffic lights to turn left onto Brookhurst. I went on late Friday afternoon on Memorial Day weekend and it was a bit crowded. I only needed 2 items and didn’t use a cart. I just scanned the items on my app, paid for it, and headed to the exit. There was a line to exit as 2 associates had to verify purchases. I don’t really understand why they have to scan both of my items if they already scanned my QR code. It gives a breakdown of my purchase. There was a bit of a hiccup because the associate kept scanning my 2 items but it didn’t go through. Overall, I love the experience since it’s so convenient. I would rather go here than Costco since it’s a quick in and out.”

“I went for the first time today and was greeted by a warm and clean atmosphere and (presumably) the owner. She spoke really good English (I later heard her speak Vietnamese as well so I assume she may be later generation Vietnamese American) and was super accommodating - asked if we wanted anything to drink. The nail technicians also spoke good English. They weren't invasive, didn't talk too much except to maybe each other and conversed with me a little bit. Although my nail technician was a little rough on my hands - she did cut a bit of skin on my finger (not anywhere on or near the nail) which made it bleed a little bit, the overall result turned out good and I'm happy with my end result. The place itself is clean, cute and inviting and unlike typical Vietnamese nail and hair salons in the area. Their Mani pedis do have different varying degrees of price and options as opposed to just charging one price for a Mani pedi and extra for details like nail art and other things. I also loved the added lavender to the footbath, which was really nice. Overall, the place is inviting in both the space and quality of service and would definitely recommend this place to anyone.”
