“I recently visited the new medical spa in town per my mom and sister’s recommendations, and I have to say, it was an absolutely delightful experience from start to finish. From the moment I walked in, I was struck by the clean and beautiful aesthetic of the space. The decor was modern and sophisticated, with a serene and calming atmosphere that immediately put me at ease. The staff were incredibly welcoming and knowledgeable, and made me feel right at home from the moment I arrived. They were able to answer all of my questions and provide expert recommendations on the various services offered. But the real highlight of my visit was the actual spa treatments themselves. I received a hydrafacial, which was absolutely top-notch. At the consultation and during the procedure, I was educated on my skin, recommendations to target specific concerns, and the biological processes behind the treatments/ products. The staff were skilled and attentive, and I left feeling completely rejuvenated and refreshed. All in all, I can't recommend this place enough. If you're in need of some relaxation and rejuvenation, this is definitely the place to go. Highly recommend!”

“If you are looking for an excellent dentist, Dr. Truong is definitely the one. No, I'm not paid by his entity. My family has been his patients for over 2 decades. Started out with my sisters then me...then our spouses...then now my daughter in law and soon my grandkids. Dr. Truong does not just having the expertise of a well trained dentist but he also have aesthetic touch with his dental works. I personally have had a lot of crowns done by Dr. Truong over the course of 19 years. They are all still working perfectly. Dr. Truong matches crown or veneer color beautifully and very natural. But most importantly is that I can chew, smile comfortably with my crowns or filled in (cavity fix) teeth. I had crown done by other dentist before with color didn't match my other teeth; and I couldn't chew with that crown. I ended up having it re-done by Dr. Truong. He also takes time when injecting anesthesia. I am basically pain free when having my teeth done by Dr. Truong. I mentioned this because I'm a total "chicken" when it comes to dental works. On top of his expertise, he doesn't bill our insurance wrongfully. He only bills for the jobs he worked on our teeth. At his office, you are scheduled promptly, never a long queue. Give him a try! You won't be disappointed!”

“Excellent spot for a group of friends / family for brunch. The menu has lots of different options, but as you scroll through these reviews, you’ll probably be fascinated by the different coffee flavors and the bone marrow. The experience to try these items are awesome, but overall, it still felt like 4 stars to me. Here’s why - the coffees (I tried quite a few different ones with a shared table) nearly all tasted too sweet or WAY too sweet (beware for those that have more sensitivities to sweets ;)) and bone marrow portion (at least the ones we got) were very small. I ordered the beef tongue rice dish (added bone marrow to the side) and it just tasted like a regular fried rice with a sauce on the side. It was delicious, but it wasn’t extraordinary. Price wise, for what you’re getting, it felt like 4/5 stars, but experience wise for a brunch was a cool 5/5 ambiance.”

“My bf and I have been searching for a good Thai food spot since moving out to HB. We're big Thai food fanatics, honestly if we find the right place we'd probably be dining there once a week. I'm seriously addicted! So I'm happy to say that my experience at Mai Thai Restaurant did not disappoint! My bf and I dined here yesterday for the first time. They weren't too busy for it being a Sunday afternoon, which was nice. It looked like there was only one server working anyways so it's a good thing they weren't packed. The restaurant is located in an older strip mall that has ample parking so that won't be an issue. The restaurant does look super dark from the outside, honestly I was questioning if they were even open when we arrived. But don't be put off by their tinted windows and the barely noticeable open sign flashing. They're open! When we walked in they had a sign in the front advising customers to wait to be seated. Make sure you wait! There was a customer that tried seating himself after us and they made him go back and wait in line. So take the signs seriously. We were seated less then a few minutes from walking in though so there basically was no wait. The restaurant has a very dark vibe to it, kind of matches the way it looks from the outside. The black upholstered seats, mirrored walls and dim lighting makes me think it used to be a hookah lounge or something of the sort. I liked it though! Very different. The food is obviously the main point of this review so I'll move on to it. We ordered the following: Cheese wonton ($8.75), Thai fried rice ($12.75), Pad Thai ($13.75), Panang Curry ($13.75) and a large Thai tea to drink ($6). I'm actually not sure if we got the Crab rangoon or the cheese wonton. I know my bf ordered the Crab rangoon but when it was brought out to us it looked like the only filling was cream cheese so I'm assuming we got the cheese wontons instead. Either that or their filling has very little crab in it. Also, the sweet and sour sauce that came with it was a little watered down and thin. That would be my only complaint. Other than that everything else was delicious! The fried rice was cooked perfectly, Pad Thai had just the right amount of fish sauce in it so it didn't taste too fishy like some other places we've tried. The Panang was piping hot and tasty! Very spicy but we asked for medium so thats definitely what we got! Their Thai tea is amazing too - the right ratio of tea to cream so it wasn't too sweet or tea-like. The wait time for everything was pretty good too. From the time we were seated and ordered to the time our food arrived was probably in the span of maybe 10-15 minutes. Not bad. I'll definitely be coming back here in the future! I'm happy to have found a good Thai spot in the OC.”
