“I've tried a few different float locations around OC and have seen the best and the worst (The worst being a Saw movie type of shower in the corner of a carpeted room with warehouse lighting. No joke.) Awaken Float Lounge is THE best around!! I go for 2 hours weekly and have experienced some life changing benefits. The most note worthy change is my relationship with my phone. Prior to coming here, I usually spent most of the day glued to my earbuds. I'm always listening to a podcast, book, or music. Rarely did I do ANYTHING without some form of secondary stimulus. I've come to realize I was drowning myself out with external input, and rarely did I ever just sit and listened to myself. That has dramatically changed. “I had been having severe stomach bloating, pain, vomiting and fever which led me to ER at St. Jude Medical Center in Fullerton. It was determined that my appendix had burst and that I required emergency surgery to save my life. This is where I met Dr. Mahdavi. He was my surgeon. I met him briefly prior to surgery as he explained what was happening, what they were going to do and what to expect. He had a calm bedside manner which I appreciated. After surgery I was able to appreciate what a skilled surgeon he was. I was very sick and very infected and he was able to rid what was left of my burst appendix and infections with a laparoscopic procedure only. He didn't open me up. I was in a lot of pain, on two different antibiotics and in the hospital for 6 days. Dr. Mahdavi would check on me daily and answer any questions to me or my family members. I felt so confident in him and so thankful that he saved my life. I would highly recommend him.”
