They got a excellent inventory they usually have everything I want I would need I'm very happy they're open and there
Just checked this place out for the first time, it is a really great shop for all scales. Went here for HO and found alot of stuff! They have huge selection of buildings and accessories! Can't wait to take a trip back down and get some more stuff.
Lots of trains! Many brands and scales of model trains. Good prices, good service.
Review posted on the "N Gauge Forum" in the UK:
Probably not a location that most of you woudl find yourself close to, but I've shopped here three or four times for basics - obviously I'm not going to find a whole lot of Graham Farish or Dapol N Gauge inventory, but they carry all the Woodland Scenics stuff and if I was modelling a US railroad they have a great selection of new, used and rummage-sale items every week.
They are friendly as heck and knowledgable and they have a sister store next door with the moniker "Milepost 38 Toy Trains" for the Thomas, Brio and others for the little ones.
I could easily buy scatter, glue, decoders and ballast online, but I love coming in here and browsing around and supporting a local business, even though we do live about 40 miles away. My wife made a new best friend today, a dog named "Ace" who I think wanted to come home with us.
On the definite upside, my in-laws live quite close to the store, so we can score brownie points for a socially-distanced visit on the way down, and the only Cornish Pasty shop in the United States that I know of is on the way back, so I just stocked up on pasties for the freezer, with a large beef gravy. None of this flaky pastry nonsense either - this is shortcrust.
Seriously though, if you are in touching distance of Southern California, Archie's is a great place.
Great deals and plenty of help. Hard to find good hobby stores.
