Vua Bún Bò Cali

First time trying bun bo Hue at this place. We came at 11.30 am, the place was not so crowded and the waiter was very kind and helpful. He explained the different items on the menu and recommended just the right sizes for us. I would love to come back and try other dishes on the menu too.

Flew all the way from Chicago to try this place and it did not disappoint. Busy day but the staffs were super friendly and attentive. They made my visit so pleasant . 5 plus stars from me. Will never go anywhere else for bun bo hue again. Definitely recommend this place. ❤️

Clean restaurant. The broth was good but not spicy at all. The small portion is small so I recommend getting the large.
They really need to add more meat for the price.

The tea is not super strong and real bitter like other places.

While our server was polite and efficient, interaction was at minimum.

We ordered one small bowl of Bún Bò Huế (spicy beef pork noodle soup) and one small bowl of Bún Bò Nam (Southern style beef noodle soup). Both bowls were big; each is a meal in itself.

Both bowls had the same flavorful broth and same noodle. The only difference that I could tell was the type of meat. While both bowls had slice of tender beef, the Bún Bò Huế includes a slice of pork leg, a slice of pork roll and pork blood pudding. Both bowls were good, satisfying and served steamy hot.

The extra beef marrow was buttery and creamy, but very fatty.

The Vietnamese coffee with sweetened condensed milk was way too sweet for me. It simply had too much of sweetened condensed milk. I could not taste the coffee.

We will return to this restaurant whenever we are in the neighborhood.
