The opportunity to learn and perform while being supported by such an amazing instructor is rare in my age group and skill level. If your dream is to play music learn at the Irvine School of Music. The atmosphere is professional you can always here students and instructors practicing in the waiting areas but it also feels like family. “My daughter has been attending Hippo Cat for about 4 months now and we had the best experience! From making friends, doing art projects, learning, singing, doing yoga our little girl has truly thrived at HC. She has learned things I would never have thought to teach her on my own. The kids also get plenty of outside time which is really great. Every morning we get there my daughter is eager to go in and almost doesn't even wave goodbye. She absolutely loves it! The teacher Kristina is very creative, energetic and nurturing. She makes things easy and goes out of her way to provide the best possible care for the kiddos as well as communicate with the parents. “I've been a member for years and enjoy being able to reserve a swim lane. However, the last few times I've been to the pool, it's been VERY murky with grime on the walls and accumulated brown grime at the bottom. I understand there are trees above that drop some natural debris, but a simple scrub by a pool cleaner every so often would go a long way. Still giving 4* since I'm confident this will be addressed and otherwise love the facility. I talked to another person who was leaving when I did and saying the same thing.”

“I’m delighted to have an inspiring and fun place to do aerial arts training in South Orange County’s beautiful San Clemente. Lucy is a lovely knowledgeable instructor with a charming English accent and an outstanding positive personality. There are multiple tissu/silks points rigged and a pulley for doing lyra/hoop & hammock with a high ceiling so you can really “get your climb on.” It’s easy to be motivated as classes are inside Elevate Fitness, just go around to the back entrance for easy access. I’m so happy there is a welcoming place for adults to go to aerial arts class nearby, and there are also children classes available of all levels. It’s a great way to stay in shape and connect.”

“Clean, caring, Christian school. They take pride in providing quality care and education for all the kids! I love that there's monthly themes with fun activities built in. They provide snacks and lunches, which is really convenient. There is a strong emphasis on Christianity, but they make it so that even the littlest ones can understand. The most important thing about this school is their safety practices. They have a secured door system that requires a passcode, and they vigilantly ID people to ensure that they are permitted to pick up the child. You can never be too careful, especially when it comes to the safety of your kids. It is so reassuring to know that they are diligent about protecting our babies.”

“This school was worth every penny to go to. The campus is beautiful (as long as you ignore a few smells), the school spirit is great, and the academics are rigorous, yet fair. This school makes you work now so you are prepared for the difficulties of this college. The athletics are one of the best in the state and I love the choir. Most of all, I love the faith formation at this school. When I was choosing between this school and St. Michael's, one main concern of mine was that I wouldn't get a good education about the Catholic faith, and BOY was I proven wrong. In freshman year, the teacher already introduces you to more experienced Theology and Philosophy. However, if you are not Catholic, the school definitely won't force you to be one. Not only does this school give you a better faith, but it also teaches you to be a man or woman with character and integrity. There are people that say that all of the kids are snobby but that's not the case at all. There will always be your select few, but most kids in the school are really affected by the school's great program of character building. Overall, this school is a masterpiece that brings a building of faith, intellect, and character of its students. Also, if you haven't noticed, all reviews that are 2 to 1 stars are reviews that are saying that the students are all rich and snobby (not true) and that we have drug problems. I would also like to note that JSerra has regulated drug tests that makes sure that people aren't violating the law so we have more drug control than most schools. However, to those who say that our school is messy, I will admit that there are a few areas that you need to be weary of.”

“The Spearman family runs this and the sister Clubs (Monarch Beach and Racquet Club Irvine) and deserves every one of the FIVE Stars. Through the entire pandemic they have been so mindful of their members. Keeping us active and happy in such a dismal time. They kept their facilities open as long as legally possible just to give us the benefit of being able to get exercise. Pools have remained open throughout. Juniors programs and summer Camps are well organized with lunch and swim time included. League opportunities a-plenty. Their reputation in the PacSun and Hill n Canyon leagues is unmatched in the region. Match arranging rocks thanks to Mina who doesn’t just throw you in a match-she places you with people in your skill level. Try Vitali’s liveball, it’s a crazy calorie burn and addictive. Staff is wonderful, like family. Grounds and courts are well maintained. Anita pours some generous drinks at the bar. And the new remodel will bring a new re-vamped fitness center.”

“Dexter Music has been a true blessing in our quest to find musical education for our daughter who is in the second grade. Signing on with the service was simple and hassle free. Christy paired us with Danielle who is a fantastic teacher for our daughter. Lessons are enjoyable, and our daughter initially started at 30 minutes but then requested to have the 45 minutes. Danielle is punctual and enthusiastic with a positive attitude and prizes that keep our daughter interested and motivated to keep up her practice. All in all a wonderful find, and the convenience of at home lessons for full time working parents is an added but highly beneficial bonus. “I love this school! I have had three children enrolled at Calvary at one time or another. This is a place where my children were known, respected, and loved, where they grew in their knowledge academically and also in their faith. It is not too big, and has small enough class sizes that the children are seen and able to receive instruction without as much distraction as a larger school. I loved the diversity in the school too. The very best part of Calvary is the awesome community of parents and teachers. When you choose a school, you are not just looking at academics, but also looking at who their friends might be, who their role models might be, and choosing the village to help raise your child. My oldest is now at Foothill High School and was well prepared academically. He also was grounded in who he was in his faith so that when he went into a huge high school, it was not too much for him. My daughter is currently in their middle school and doing well. My son attended there for two years but has several learning disabilities and we needed the support of TUSD and an IEP team. But even still, the two years he was there they were flexible and kind and modified a great deal. I definitely recommend it and suggest you take a tour to see if it might be a fit for your child.”
