Mostly a wide, gentle graded path with several fun side chutes down to the river. We walked all the way to the little houseboat Marina, where the camp host showed us a trail down to a tiny sandy beach. Watch out for poison oak.
It's a rough climb from the confluence if you're not ready for it, but doable if u take breaks. Bring plenty of water. Views are great.
Nice hike if you don't mind going uphill on the way to the dam.
Beautiful river to hangout with family or friends. The water is cold at first but after a while it is refreshing. Barbecue is not allow in the area to prevent wild fires. So bring ready to eat food. You can bring your canopies. I don't recommend driving a small vehicle or a very low vehicle due to the terrain. They have portable bathrooms and they are clean. Swimming is allowed and other water activities too. Keep in mind there is no cellphone reception. Take your garbage with you. Remember there are rattle sneaks. I forgot to add that alcohol is not allowed you can get cite. They also change at the entrance so bring cash. Enjoy!
