(August 1, 2023, 1:55 am)This place had the best value when I looked for a weekend trip in a busy touristy season. It was a cozy, friendly and convenient stay, 5 minute walk to King’s beach, which was free and nice for a late afternoon swim. The rooms are dated, but clean. The shower was hot with good pressure. The towels were clean but a bit old. We had 3 fans for the two rooms, which worked for we are not there during the hot days and the nights were cool. There was a small room with board games and ping pong. The manager was very friendly and helpful. The pool was not working. There are tons of shops, cafe’s and restaurants within walking and short driving distances.
(July 25, 2023, 6:46 pm)A Tahoe experience, blast-fromh-the-past time capsule. This mid century roadside motel with eighties art deco decor has some rooms tucked away off the main street with hidden views of the lake. A special place to come with family and enjoy the beach!
(April 7, 2023, 8:01 pm)I have stayed here before and I will stay here again. So that says a lot. I choose this place because it's in North Lake Tahoe area near where I ski and they allow dogs for a nominal fee.
The layout and size of the rooms varies. But they're all adequate at least for myself and a dog. Also roomy enough for a couple.
The motel is old and a bit rundown. However it's clean. Economical. Dog friendly. And in a good location in North Lake Tahoe. The staff is always friendly and helpful.
Altogether this place is an exceptionally good value. If you are seeking luxury and white glove service, you should stay elsewhere.
