“I thoroughly read the reviews before booking. I was a little reluctant but very glad I did! The room was so clean, check in process was easy, had everything a hotel room would have with the bonus of a full kitchen. Seems like a lot of these negative reviews are from people thinking they were booking the ritz-Carlton or something. It’s a MOTEL. And it’s INEXPENSIVE. Were you expecting a personal butler and 5 star amenities??? I mean do your research ppl. Overall the location is amazing right across the street from a great restaurant on the water and a beach. And it met all our basic needs for the weekend. I would come back. Of note, I loved the old school, small business feel of it! I’d rather give my money to an independent hardworking person than a greedy hotel chain.”

“Room I stayed in had a wonderful view of the lake and awesome dock access that is only for guests. The manager was great, we were greeted as soon as we arrived at the property and taken right up to our room and felt very welcome. The restaurant that was attached was not open at the time we were here. We also had a very quiet stay. We really felt like we had the place to ourselves. Overall great experience and would love to come back in the future!”

“we love going here! we take the boat out almost every weekend and we never fail to have a good time. there is so many places to anchor and swim. also super fun to tube and waterski! even if you dont have a boat its still fun just to sit on the beach and relax. the water is always the perfect temperature. during winter this part of the lake is closed but north shore is always open. def recommend :)”

“Loved the small cabin, was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the kitchen (stove, microwave, pots, dishes, coffee maker + free coffee!). Mostly kept the curtains closed, as the proximity of other buildings made it feel less private with them open. Both owners were kind and welcoming. Perfect location for hiking — it was so nice to start hikes from the cabin rather than needing to drive. Also an easy 20-30 minute walk to Tahoe City for dinner.”

“This beautiful 2 bedroom/2 bath cabin leaves you with a feel of "Old Tahoe." A-frame roof with log pillars. The interior decorating is a perfect Tahoe cabin feel. The natural landscape is lovely. Quiet street. We enjoyed evening walks with our dogs. The mattress was probably the worst we have ever slept on - hard, and felt every spring. We received a text from Ulla, the owner, checking in to see if we needed anything. We replied there was one coffee filter for our 4 night stay. She said "yes! we are all out, and invited us to go shopping at the high priced Tahoe Market to buy some more to supply the cabin. At $399 a night, we thought that maybe should be supplied. There is also no Saran wrap or baggies - so make a note to bring supplies. There is a note asking you to leave a tip for the cleaning people; I own 2 Airbnb's, and the "cleaning fee" goes entirely to them - not sure why we paid $125 cleaning fee, and were also asked to leave a tip. Our 4 night stay was over $2k after taxes, $100 dog fee, and $125 cleaning fee. We won't be back because of the cost, and lack of sleep due to the mattress. Not to mention having to bring our own kitchen supplies, and add a tip on top of the cleaning fee; we did not use 85% of anything there, and left it spotless.”

“This place had the best value when I looked for a weekend trip in a busy touristy season. It was a cozy, friendly and convenient stay, 5 minute walk to King’s beach, which was free and nice for a late afternoon swim. The rooms are dated, but clean. The shower was hot with good pressure. The towels were clean but a bit old. We had 3 fans for the two rooms, which worked for we are not there during the hot days and the nights were cool. There was a small room with board games and ping pong. The manager was very friendly and helpful. The pool was not working. There are tons of shops, cafe’s and restaurants within walking and short driving distances.”

“Our base camp during white water rafting trip at the American River. Clean and well kept hotel. No pool at the moment but look forward to being done on my next visit. Parking with charging station was definitely a plus. Next to In-N-Out, markets, and many more local amenities. Their complementary breakfast is pretty decent with custom made omelet made to order.”

“The location is great, quick access to the main road but still finds tranquility. 30 minutes drive to Sand Harbor. I stayed upstairs @ the forest view 3 cabin for 2 nights, got a peek-a-boo view to the lake, cabin was nicely finished but the bathroom is due for some maintenance. The wall heater in the bedroom was noisy, light sleeper beware. The cabin didn't have a hair dryer, bring your own if you need one. Bring your own cooking oil if you plan to cook, the cabin only provided the spray on cooking oil.”

“This Park is so peaceful! My Aunt just moved here and I'm renovating her house. I absolutely love this place! The wildlife walks right through the front yard to the back yard and drinks out of the creek. The neighbors are very nice and friendly. “I stayed at this amazing resort for a week for my skiing trip with my cousins and my aunt and uncle. It was awesome. There was so much to do and the area was beautiful. Actually I have an awesome story. So when we were there, the snow covered everything and the outdoor hot tubs all had a barrier of snow. Me, my little cousin, and some other people were in the hot tub right next to another one. And basically the other hot tub engaged in war with us, and another hot tub nearby. It got pretty heated, I even made alliances with the other hot tub that was also being attacked by the one next to us. Soon we destroyed the hot tub that started it and they fled into the pool. Honestly this was an amazing experience I hope I can go again this year! We spent Christmas here as well”
