“The lighting showroom has supplied all of my lights for 2 new homes, one in Reno and the other out of the area. Tara is exceptional to work with. Her knowledge of the product is excellent. The website is easy to navigate and see all the products to get ideas. Even with the website there still is Tara’s design background to guide you along and help choose lighting that will work perfect in the space. She makes the whole process so easy from choosing fixtures, looking at lighting plans, ordering, receiving, and even ordering all the lightbulbs for every fixture which can be overwhelming when it’s a whole house. I will continue to work with The Lighting Showroom and Tara because they are competent and have integrity in their local business.”

“Lovely little antique store! Found a cool 1920s Remington typewriter. Appropriately priced! Sharp shape! The store itself has a very charming feel and, clearly, emphasizes high-end treasure hunting but also very classic and inventive items. The store owner is so warm and nice. She cares a lot about her selection, display, and customers. Loved learning about the details of where she found some items! The store is by the waterside, too. Will return... again and again.”

“Staying here depends on what you're looking for. We just wanted a reasonably priced hotel in Kings Beach for 2 nights. We found it! It was VERY clean. Rooms are tiny and didn't even have a chair but we brought beach chairs and even sat outside the room and enjoyed the view. No one was onsite but we managed to get more coffee from the housekeeper in the morning. If you stay more than one night, why do they only give enough coffee for one? (One of my pet peeves in most hotels)? Curtains didn't keep out all of the light at night so if you're a sensitive sleeper, bring a sleep mask.”

“The best place in Kings Beach to get a decently priced Corona or other import for under $5. The shrimp tacos and tostada's are wonderful and reasonably priced. Probably the most affordable restaurant in Kings Beach. No indoor seating, however, they have a newly renovated outdoor patio experience. Directly across the street from Lake tahoe. Fast and efficient service. Very nice family run business. I highly recommend this restaurant for the person that is looking for great food at affordable prices next to Lake Tahoe! Cheers!👍”

The combination of cupping, acupuncture, and herbs has helped me on a myriad of occasions. There is nothing better than a night's sleep after a treatment. When everything is balanced, it is the most marvelous feeling of well-being and joy. As Dawn left on sabbatical, Pamela stepped in and seamlessly took up the torch. I have thoroughly enjoyed her treatments, and she has given me relief and rejuvenation during the last several months. A competent acupuncturist is difficult to find, and we are lucky to have such a marvelous clinic in our tiny town. If you have yet to try New Leaf, you owe it to yourself. Even if you think your health is "fine", go in for a tune up, and it will change your definition of "fine".”
