Clean and easy to access. While on longer bike rides it is the perfect spot to take a break in.
I love this park. The mature trees, the shade, the lack of traffic. It's gorgeous in the spring when everything is green. There is a horse trail along a creek. A nice spot. There is a large area of tables that are fully covered and have working outlets.
My family from the early '80s until '93 , would hold what they called a 'Ball Bash' here every summer. Not only is the park split into two separate sections by King Road, But one of the few parks that actually has a horse corral on the grounds in the Sacramento area. As a kid, my absolute favorite part was walking along the creek that runs through the park, and catching crayfish, and frogs. Probably the best park in the Sacramento area, and unequivocally the best in Placer County for its intended features, and unintended.
Big, open and lots of things to do here. We especially love the creek and the walking trails. We finally got to see the salmon spawning this year. Also if you come during/for a little league game then the snack bar is great.
Beautiful park, plenty of picnic benches and seating, BBQs, beautiful trees offering shade, good playgrounds, nice paths
