“Was craving some chocolate after a delicious lunch down the street. Did a simple Google search and journeyed our way to Tahoe City Chocolates. It's located inside a mall on the second floor. It's on the right hand side at the end of the hall when you are at the top of the staircase. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by two friendly gentlemen, who were immediately eager to let us sample their sweet fare and introduce various imported chocolate. We tried so many samples we felt guilty! This is one of the most knowledgeable chocolate shops I've ever been. If you tell them what you like, they can recommend something to fulfill that craving! They offer plenty of homemade chocolate and imported chocolate/ candies you don't normally see, even in an import shop. We highly recommend it and will definitely be back!”

“These people are amazing!! I had an heirloom given to me by my late mother I needed to be resized for my proposal. The other shop in town, that has multiple locations I might add, quoted a month out and absolutely crushed me. I stopped in with these folks and they were able to assure me THAT DAY I'd get the ring resized by when I needed it. (about 4 day window) I was able to propose on our special day and the people in the shop didnt mind I cried my eyes out upon pick up. YOU NEED TO LOOK NO FURTHER. I can see this becoming an annual tradition for our family! There is a steep hill to walk up/down when accessing the grove, which might be an issue for some.”

They have a high-quality menu with fresh ingredients. The Cobb salad was generously portioned and prepared to perfection. Happy Hour is Monday-Friday from 3 to 6pm and Saturday and Sunday from 2 to 5 pm. The beer and wine selection is local and they have a full service bar. I would recommend the restaurant have live music on the patio. It would being in customers and they would stay longer. This would be a great Happy Hour date spot.
