I was hesitant to come back here. My family visited back in 2017/2018 and my then 2y old went down a steep slide that had a deep pit dug out under it. He picked up so much speed and there was no runway at the bottom that once he reached the end, he literally flew several feet through the air. His teeth punctured through the skin below his lower lip and he needed stitches to fix it. Anyway, I was pleasantly surprised to see that the play structures have been updated to newer ones and I no longer have to worry about the steep slide. No sand, swings for both big kids and babies, a few benches around the playground area and picnic tables farther into the large grassy area, almost fully fenced playground area, and bathrooms across the parking lot. It's a win!
Very nice park. I'm a member of a local SCA group; we held a feast in the park. The parking lot is a decent size and the restrooms were just across the parking lot from our area. It was a good venue.
Great we'll kept family park basketball baseball kids play area walking paths clean we'll kept bathrooms courtesy of little league. Shady just love this neighborhood park. Sunrise 0srk and rec. Dept thumbs up. Hidden gem.
This is a very nice park. There is a lot of space for many various activities. A good quality basketball court, a few baseball fields, some decent playgrounds, some dirt trails, and lots of open space are a few of the noticeable features. There is also an ok public restroom. It is also located in a quiet and peaceful neighborhood.
This is an excellent place to make a reservation for a large party picnic. The playground was close enough for the parents to keep an eye on their kids. The BBQ was big and we were able to have a cookout. We'll be back next year!
(Please be cautious of the several homeless men sheltering in the corner at the end of Wonder St. They didn't cause us any trouble but you might just want to make sure you're kids don't play in that corner of the park - not much there anyway.)
