Cost to enter park is $10. It's a great place for water recreation; paddleboards, kayaking, swimming, etc. Shoreline and shallows have a lot of river rock so consider water shoes. Great place to picnic!
Lots of connecting trails make it easy to walk my dog off leash
This is a great place to get away from the city and be with nature. We ride our horses out here and see everything from deer to coyotes. Its beautiful to just walk leisurely amongst the trees with the smell of the pine trees in the air...it reminds me of camping. Be careful on some of the trails in the early mornings or around sunset the Rattlesnakes are out sunning themselves. Beautiful place!
Spacious park with primitive parking. Big hills of dumped river rock you can climb and experience avalanche like conditions. Horse trails, hiking, biking, cycling, jogging, dog, kids, wild life and river front access. I came across white tail and turkeys. Green space and horse manure. Texas sized acorns near the river.
