I have attended both services and feel at home in both congregations. I may attend both services weekly. I feel true agape love and encouragement there.
[I have no idea who "Eloise" is, Yoyo Sav; after eight visits as of November 2018, methinks she left with the rest of the folks to start a new church elsewhere.]
These remaining folks are A-1; lots of laughter, lots of warmth, lots of empathy, lots of giving, lots of listening, lots of acceptance regardless of gender or age or family-style, lots of wanting the entire world to find Jesus' love and ACTIVE praying for those who can't.
Lots of open-mindfullness.
Things are starting over, here, but between the happiness and apparent sheer desire of the congregation's collective heart, this church already seems to be rebuilding again as a true PCUSA.
I float when I walk back to my vehicle Sunday morning, these people are so uplifting, and not just because of the ever-present fruit slices and Fred's BEE'S honeycomb offered afterwards. I always have my errands list with me "while I'm in town" but usually choose just to go home and feel His Lord's continued presence instead.
Doubling now to make 16 visits...
P.S. The music is top-notch; no wonder everyone sits to stay for the brief concert after the blessing! ("Linus and Lucy," anyone?! YES!)
I’m a regular attendee since the summer 2018.
Journey Church is a welcome alternative for church in Folsom. While the city is blessed with several large non-traditional, informal churches, Journey offers a more traditional experience, in an easy-going, informal, small church setting. The female pastor presents engaging and informative sermons that both educate and challenge the attendees in their Christian walk. Members welcome newcomers and the after church coffee and cookies connect all attendees! The pianist is phenomenal and closes the church service with a piano solo! You can connect with study groups, prayer groups, or become part of HART, a local ministry to help serve a Winter Shelter in Folsom.
I highly recommend a visit to Journey Church in Folsom.
My family has been a part of Journey for 10 years now. We love the closeness of the congregation.
