River Bend Park

One of the few spots on the river not overrun with urban campers/homeless people

Great place to hike. Beautiful trails by the river, I usually pass deer along the way. There's also paved bike trail, and rafting in the summer.

Honoring my FATHER. It was a beautiful place to hold a quiet ceremony to say goodbye to my father.

Love walking the dogs down here. So peaceful and serene. The best therapy there is.

I love going to all the river accesses for the American River Parkway, but out of them all, River Bend Park might just be my favorite! The main paved bike trail going over the bridge to William B Pond park gets all the attention. But this park also has many good spots to picnic, many sections shallow water ideal for letting kids play in the river, many smaller dirt trails, and so many opportunities to see wildlife.
