“Been going to Southside Park since I was a kid, fishing and playing at the playground. Now over the years I've been taking my kids to Southside Park to fish and play. I drive an electric car, it's also a good place to charge your car in the meantime.”

“Today my daughters and I visited this park, it was really nice there was a huge spinning gyro thing that my girls loved, the play structures one was large and one small for smaller kiddos were really nice and great for all ages. There were nice sitting areas that were covered and some that were just tree shaded. Overall there was just two things I saw that could improve one was there should be atleast one or two water fountains, last if "things" are happening late at night I could only hope that those people dispose of their contraception stuff properly not on the sidewalk where children are present.. disgusting. We had a great time wonderful park!”

“Simple neighborhood public park near small shops”

“The city of Sacramento with the hard work of Park and Recreation staff are slowly revitalizing our older neighborhood parks. Mangan Park residence young children can now enjoy a new playground area along with a new basketball court. The pool also received a well need facelift along with fresh paint throughout the building. After speaking with the City Pack and Recs employee I asked about the second building at the park near the pool that was a firearm shooting range several years ago if the city plans to reopen it, the park employee did not know although was aware there has been work on the building with fresh paint. The park also offers a archery range on the opposite side of the building. The restrooms are still not open during regular park hours although with a neighbor petition I believe we can change that! The old park is looking great.”

“Family oriented, neighborhood pool. Larger pool runs 3.5 to 5 feet in depth. A second pool for diving. A third small pool for toddlers a few inches to 18 inches in depth with a splash umbrella. Life jackets are available for weak or nonswimmers. There is a lift chair available for those that need assistance to get in the water. Lifeguards on duty and do a great job monitoring activities. The is a small fee for entry, $2 for kids and $4 for adults. Toilet facilities, picnic and play ground outside the pool area. The pool was closed Tuesdays and Thursdays. Hours were generally 1 to 5 pm.”

“For a small area this little park is nice. It used to be a functioning school but in the evenings it turns into an unofficial off-leash dog park! There is a really nice trail you can walk that goes back over a bridge and into a grassy area. The trail itself is probably just under 3/4 mile. There are tons of kiddos who come out and play around with the pitch stop and soccer goals. There is only a small parking area during the week as they keep the gates closed but on the weekend when it becomes a functioning school for adults they open up the gates so you can park inside. The only issue we have is mosquitoes!! There is a small creek that runs under the bridge and they can get bad during certain parts of the year. Otherwise I would totally recommend it if you are just looking for a spot for your dog or to walk around.”

“I do not believe my words can convey how impressed I am with the customer service and excellent communication with different members of the company. The EZ-Clone Low Profile system is best in class. There are so many good design features that I have noting to comment about other than how successful my clones have been.”

“Nice equipment for younger kids. No swings is my biggest issue with this park. Decent for a family outing with a bbq and pavilion. Not lighted so daylight hours only. Basketball court and an open field for soccer or volleyball. No bathroom.”

“A great park. One mile around so it’s easy to track your distance. Very dog friendly place. If there is sunlight there are people here, but it has never felt really crowded to me. Depending on the time of year you’ll see groups of varying ages playing organized sports. Lots of trees as well as cute interesting houses to look at. In the middle there’s a tennis court, and beside that a kid’s playground.”
