“Love this historical place because it still has so much intact! The museum portion is fun for kids to push buttons and learn about electricity. The actual powerhouse is amazing, and the history of how they got everything constructed and shipped is epic. Lots of historical photos. The docents are great - our recent one with a PhD in electrosomethingcrazy was fascinating to listen to and explained the processes that took place when the powerhouse was operational. Very educational.”

“We stopped here and checked out the Paiute Pyramid Lake Indian Reservation Museum and visitors information center. Unfortunately, it's only open Monday through Friday and we were there on Saturday. I'll have to update what the museum is like another time, will be going back, but I did get a few pictures..stay tuned..”

“Tours LED by very knowledgeable docents the first Saturday of every month. Learned a lot about the early history of Elk Grove (including how ironic it is that the historic old Town district was originally known as "new Elk Grove"). Outlying buildings include a blacksmith's shop and jail. Nicely planted gardens.”
