I called the Carlsbad building department on a question about what constitutes a true bedroom. The switchboard person was very helpful, Laura in Planning tried to help and then sent me over to the head of the building department, Jason. He was not only helpful and nice but also very engaging with all relevant information. 5 stars and would give them 10 considering we are in a Covid restriction and most city offices are minimally staffed. I've been a Roofing Contractor for over 35 years. I am consistently impressed with the respectful, helpful and efficient staff at the Carlsbad Bldg. Dept.
