Griff Electric Bikes

This is the best bike shop! This was my first time riding an e-bike and the team gave great instructions. I had the BEST day. Perfect activity for vacation or a day out in your home city.

If you're looking to do North County right, skip the car, get you a Griff. Zooting around Solana Beach, Cardiff, Encinitas, Carlsbad, the Strand on these bikes is ridiculously fun.

I'm in Encinitas seasonally and don't bother with a car. My Griff Ebike takes me everywhere I need to go and I get to skip the atrocious traffic, parking, and gas prices. Bikes are first class citizens in North County and there are bike lanes almost everywhere so you're pretty safe. With a lock you've got VIP parking everywhere! Forget about gas prices. Highly recommend using this E-bike over a car whether short term visitor renting or long term local buying.

The range on these is about ~12-15 miles in one direction on mid battery power (28mph top speed), if you turn down the power you can go ~20 miles a little bit slower and still make it back home. Charge time is about 4-5 hours and once you learn to manage the battery's cadence it's not difficult for one of bikes to replace your car as a daily driver to make two full distance trips in a day. I do a lot, and honestly most of the time I don't need to make two trips that require a full charge in between anyway. There's a lot close by in the area.

The shop is family owned and operated. John and his daughter Caitlin are super friendly and helpful whenever I need anything. Highly recommend giving them your money over some of the other shops in town. Stop in, say hello, get you sorted on the coolest way to get around North County.

I am so pleased with my purchase from Griff E bikes! They were extremely friendly and thoughtful throughout the purchasing process and it was super quick and easy. Upon leaving, the bike wouldn’t fit in the back of my small SUV, so they loaded it in their truck and followed me home to deliver it immediately, which was so nice. Highly recommend Griff’s for purchasing and renting e-bikes.

I needed to make sure that I get the best quality bikes so that my entire day spent on the bike cruising along the beach would be worthwhile. I researched all the e-bikes around for days prior to arrival. I’m glad that I chose griffin, it was a great experience. I rode from Encinitas to La Jolla, then to Del Mar heights, then back to Encinitas, they were nice enough to swap me an new battery, then I went north up til Carlsbad state beach, then back, watching and riding over the sunset to finish the day. Great day spent.
