The cold brew is among the best I've ever had. Alex and the other baristas are super friendly and know their stuff. The breakfast burritos and sandwiches are pre-made (custom food orders not available). There are plenty of inside and outside seating options, and there were free oranges for PCT hikers!
A pretty great coffee house with a lot of options. They serve breakfast burritos as well. I enjoyed my oat milk latte and also the green tea. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. The inside is cozy and the store has a cool notice for Google reviewers up on the wall.
They also have a “pay with a post-it” program where you can purchase a drink in advance for someone less fortunate. The person can take a post-it from the chalkboard and get a free drink.
The only criticism I have for this place is the name of the corporation—“Beanery Corporation.” It just has a…distasteful ring to it because of its proximity to a certain derogatory term.
Edit: The coffee shop has stated that “beanery” is an old, turn-of-the-century term meaning “cafe” or “cheap eats.”
I would have never guessed that Julian would be a place where I'd find the best matcha drink of my life. Yeah, it was really that good. It was the most creamy, smooth version I've ever tasted. Not gritty at all.
Their blueberry pie top pastry was pretty bomb, too. It was simple but perfectly done.
Regulars Wanted is definitely a place to try, and then keep returning every chance you get. Become a regular there, they want you.
BTW, they also have cute outdoor seating for your furry fam.
Shouting distance from the Julian Lodge. So we went over both mornings we were in town. Place was very homey and comfortable. Our dog was welcome on the patio. The coffee and lattes were just fine and the muffins were delicious.
By far, the best place for breakfast. We had the sausage sandwich and a freshly made scone. The sandwich was life changing. We also got a tumeric latte that was just as amazing as the rest. The people working there are passionate about the food and are super sweet. Will definitely be back.
