“What a wonderful gift this school is to give to your young child in their early learning and development. My child has been there for the past two years and she is learning in so many ways - practical skills, gardening, swimming, manners, in addition to what you might expect related to early writing, reading and math. The setting of the school is bucolic at its best, boasting a wide open backyard with a garden and farm animals which the children tend to, as well as an expansive lawn and free play area. The staff is stellar - from the owner, to the administrator and all the teachers, aides, and after school caregivers. Their passion for the program and care for the children is evident in everything they do - from frequent email updates, monthly newsletters with lots of pictures, thematic learning programs, special parent teaching nights, twice yearly sing alongs performed by the children, and a school sleepover as part of the summer program! It's all carefully planned and enthusiastically received by the kids (and parents)! There is a reason this school has been a mainstay of the Poway community for 35+ years. It's a special place and we feel very fortunate to have our child attending the 3 year program, which evolves each year based on the child's age as they grow from student to teacher, gaining independence and confidence as they learn skills that will carry them throughout their school careers and beyond.”

“I am confused about what M. Brown referring to, as there is no pool or second story at Little Hands Montessori. Little Hands is a program for 18-36 month-old toddlers. It has developmentally appropriate Montessori materials, play equipment in a homey atmosphere. There is a maximum of 12 students with 2 teachers and an administrator. Children are thriving in this sweet environment that Little Hands has created. ”

“This school has taught me so much about life and I'm glad that I'm attending such a great school. I have had some downs about teachers and sometimes you just feel like they don't care but they do or they wouldn't push us to succeed. Every teacher that I have had pushes me to do amazing and sometimes I don't like that but in the long run they are helping you. If you have a negative thing to say don't post it on google or anything just go and talk to someone because you hurt others when you say things like this and your just trying to show off to you friends but you don't realize how much effort every single staff member puts into their job!!????”

“My children studied piano and guitar with Dennis. I loved that he adjusted his teaching strategy to best engage each child. My daughter is very by-the-book, and he gave her lots of theory and practical exercises to help her gain confidence. My son, on the other hand, just wanted to be a cool rock star. At his first lesson, Dennis taught him one chord and asked him to count a rhythm. Ten minutes later, my son strummed that one chord while counting and Dennis played the melody. My son couldn't believe how amazing he sounded "playing the whole song!" He was hooked from the start, and as he progressed, Dennis snuck in some theory, but always in a "cool way." Very patient teaching style, but he does want to see effort in practicing. Hosts several recitals over the course of a year. Highly recommend.”

She enjoys the Montessori materials and the new challenges in working with the materials at higher grade levels. The teachers are so caring and involved in each child's needs and progress. We are so confident in method and knowledge provided at the school. There is a strong sense of community with the other parents at the school. Community is not easy to find and often hard to build, but it is very strong at the school.”

“The Bernardo Winery is a delightful place to visit for a relaxing afternoon or dinner out. It is located in Rancho Bernardo and has a small vineyard with historical old buildings and wonderful lush landscaping. Farm antiques of days of old are located throughout. There are stores and restaurants and in the Spring on Mother's Day and also in October the winery hosts a large arts and crafts fair including a outdoor seating and a variety of food vendors. A great place to check out.”
