The gas prices aren’t the best but but the taco shop inside makes one of the best bean and cheese burritos and overall good food around. “Great experience, will come back. We came by late on a weekday, and the staff was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. We sat outside, where it was easy to talk, and the sound of cars was not in any way disruptive. I liked the cultural style and interior design of the place as well. The food was very good, although I would say that the chicken was slightly over-cooked (not uncommon). Good overall experience!”

“My mom saw it while on our way to our Airbnb, on Friday and said she wanted to check them out, after our way back home today (Sunday) and we’re so pleased we did! It definitely gives it, “like you’re back at home, visiting family” atmosphere. Kevin takes the order (if the order is big, also with the help of his mom!!!) and then brings it out to you, offering to get your drink for you, also with a napkin, utensils and sides of red or green chili— I’m a sucker for both, but the green chili is my favorite! The red chili is really good, too! I shared with him that we’re visiting from AZ. He then shared that it’s his mom’s restaurant and they were up the road for 6 years, before they moved over here, at this current location, and that they really liked this location, because it’s more spacious for everyone, including customer parking! The food was really good and well priced for the serving size! Just the only thing I was shocked about, was soda for $2.00, whereas the bottles of Gatorade/Snapple were $2.75, but it was all worth it! Highly recommend! I definitely will be back when visiting this side of Cali!!!!”

“Being from the Midwest, we don't have anything like this mexican food anywhere. First night in town, I found it by chance and got myself a Cali Burrito. It was the size of my forearm and was amazing, but also I couldn't get out of there without ordering a bran and cheese burrito as well this was amazing as well and practically the same size all amazing. Everything was so good I went back on my 2nd night and got the quesabirra taco platter, these were very good only thing I was missing was the consume but I don't believe this came with that anyway but I can only imagine that it is an amazing broth too.”

“Authentic Italian Bakery! How did I miss this place?! So unassuming, hole in the wall bakery tucked in the corner of a shopping plaza. The pictures speak for themselves. Delicious and authentic. Don't come here expecting American style pastries or sandwiches. It's amazing and the quality is there! I've been to Italy, husband is from France so his expectations are always high when it's an European bakery. He loved the Italian sandwich and Italian ham especially. As for the prices, it's on par with the quality, did I hear imported Italian flour?! Yes. Italian family owned bakery where you hear them speaking Italian? Yes. Cute Italian mom and dad hanging out in the bakery? Yes. You can't get more authentic than that. My new favorite local bakery.”

“We are in LOVE and truly obsessed with this delicious breakfast and lunch place on the outside of the Hilton Garden Inn. The food has been mouthwatering. Deserves a crowd daily. We've eaten breakfast here the last few mornings and everything has been the best food we've ever had. Cute little outdoor patio with amazing San Diego weather. Service fantastic and everyone is so friendly. We are sitting here now eating avocado toast and the English muffin sandwich and saying how this is the best food we have ever eaten. Great smoothies, too. Super sad to leave. Will be coming back to this hidden San Doego gem. IF you are staying at the Hilton Garden Inn this is definitely where you should be eating breakfast. For lunch they have delicious options, too. You won't be sorry if you come here!”

“Some of the best tacos I have tried on this side of the border. Their tortillas are soft while the meat is not to chewy but delicious. The toppings are fresh plus the hot salsas are actually hot which very few actually have. Food comes out quickly. Service is good. “So good! I am from the east coast and was in town for the weekend. I wanted authentic Mexican food and was told to go here by a local. It was SO GOOD! The food was cooked to order so it was hot. The beans are fully of flavor, I don’t even like beans and loved them! The taco itself was magical. It had flavors that we don’t get at the restaurants back home. I’m a culinary school grad with years of restaurant cooking experience. I love to cook and Mexican food is my favorite. This place had the authentic yummy flavors that only real Mexican places offer. I wish I could make this at home but it just wouldn’t be the same! I had the shrimp taco with guacamole added and my sister had the California burrito which she also loved.”

“I'm here once every two weeks for lunch. Fast service, even when it does get a little crowded at lunch hour. I normally get a carne asada rice bowl, and the thing is PACKED. I definitely get my moneysworth. They don't flake on the meat or toppings. Plenty of guacomole. I usually get a side of chips to dig into the bowl, and it's a filling combination, which is saying something - I have an appetite working 12 hr days. At least a dozen salsas to choose from. Several meat options. Wide variety of drinks to but I'm stuck on the horchata. I get it to go most of the time, and it's still hot when I reach my destination. Even the chips are still warm. The place is definitely worth a shot.”
