“Authentic Italian Bakery! How did I miss this place?! So unassuming, hole in the wall bakery tucked in the corner of a shopping plaza. The pictures speak for themselves. Delicious and authentic. Don't come here expecting American style pastries or sandwiches. It's amazing and the quality is there! I've been to Italy, husband is from France so his expectations are always high when it's an European bakery. He loved the Italian sandwich and Italian ham especially. As for the prices, it's on par with the quality, did I hear imported Italian flour?! Yes. Italian family owned bakery where you hear them speaking Italian? Yes. Cute Italian mom and dad hanging out in the bakery? Yes. You can't get more authentic than that. My new favorite local bakery.”

“One of my absolutely favorite places to visit, and it should be on your bucket list if you're a TOPGUN fan! The High Pie shop is also known as the TOPGUN house. It's where Maverick had his dinner date with Charlie in the first TOPGUN. The shop sells hand pies and flavors may vary with the season. My faves are lemon, peach, and apple. They also have lots of movie photos on display and sell very cool pins, if you like to collect such items. The location is beautiful, as it sits across the pier and ocean in Oceanside.”

“There no place that gives you a better donut at a competitive price point. I vividly remembering running to get PQ donuts after 5th grade class. I’m 32 now and have lived in different countries and cities where I’ve sampled countless donuts/fried pastries. PQ Donuts is a humble business with an incredible, consistent product. Not campy or over-the-top, just the humble classics executed perfectly and deliciously. A must try when you’re in the area.”

“I like to go there for grocery shopping. Everyone that works in the store is nice. Once they made a mistake where they were supposed to refund because I didn’t purchase the item and the cashier mentioned that he had returned it and I should have received the refund but I had not received it after 10 days I had went into the store and they processed the refund and looked at the cashier s name as well so the hat he doesn’t repeat the same mistake again.”

“I had a meeting in Carlsbad and on the way back I had to stop here. One to grab their many wonderful coffee beans and also a pumpkin seed muffin and a cappuccino. Their croissants are my mom’s favorite in town. The location is so precious. Kinda hidden but with a beautiful ocean view from the top of the hill. I mean, what else can I ask for? Coffee + View! You can also bring your computer and work from one of their many outdoor tables.”

“Considering this particular Walmart's location, and the demographic of customers they have to deal with, these poor employees are very patient with customers regardless of how ghetto the customers are.... thank you for your service! I feel so bad for the employees of this particular Walmart. They should be getting paid more. Thanks again for your hard work, patience, and endurance!”

“Nectarine Grove is a favorite. Almost everything, if not everything, on the menu, is gluten free. They have a wide variety of food options and everything I’ve ordered here tastes delicious! One of the few restaurants around that also does not cook with seed oils! Chicken and Waffles (The chicken is plantain crusted!) , Breakfast Tacos, Chimichurri Steak Bowl, & the Pizzas are a handful of personal favorites. They have a cooler full of rotating desserts that are all really tasty as well. The staff is friendly and attentive. Many of them have actually become friends over the years. They also stock a large selection and variety of drinks. From coffees, to beer and kombuchas, and specialty drink choices. Though I usually stick with the free water. Stoked to have Nectarine Grove in San Diego. We need more restaurants that cook with real butter, coconut oil, and quality whole food ingredients. It’s fairly easy to spend $20-$30 here per person, but I always leave feeling like it was well worth it, & satisfied!”

“They have scented and moisturizing alcohol sanitizing wipes. I grabbed one on my way out and was so pleasantly surprised that it didn’t smell horrid or dry out my hands- thank you for this little detail of the shopping experience - I can’t stop smelling my hands.”

“The inside was kind of sark and the menu signs looked a little grimy and confusing. I ordered the golden works bagel sandwich on an onion bagel and with some mayo on it. It was pretty good and filling. I would say it is a little overpriced, at $10.00. The coffee station was not very appealing. There was a Starbucks next door, so we decided to just get our coffee next door”

“My drink... Cloudy with A Chance of Cold Brew...A. FRIGGIN. MAZING!!! The absolute best drink ever!!! I love Nitro Cold Brew & Cold Brew, & seek it in my travels. This drink, here, was the absolute best ever! The presentation!!! 5*****! My only complaint... The customer service... Please wait on your customers in order of when they purchased.... We waited and waited and waited for our drinks .. While multiple customers came & went with their drinks in hand. Not acceptable.”

“I feel like I have already rated this place so I’m not sure why it is asking me again but busy bees is one of the local bagel shops in the neighborhood. I believe it is one of the only ones. It is average. The bagels taste like they are old. They are not fluffy but not chewy or hard either. They are bland in texture and taste. They don’t give you a lot of cream cheese here and when you do ask for extra cream cheese they charge you $2.40 which seems like an exorbitant amount. They are definitely not friendly. However I continue to go back here because the bagels or average and basically due to limited choices in the area I find myself frequenting the spot. The veggie cream cheese is so delicious.”

“We had dinner across the street and walked here for dessert. They also have their own parking in the back. Some street parking in front. I’ve been to the downtown location and knew what to expect. They have so many flavors! The scoops are huge, equivalent to two scoops so we shared and got praline pecan. Creamy vanilla ice cream with pieces of candied pecans and caramel swirls. It’s great that it wasn’t so sweet. There were a few tables outside but not many if you plan to hang around. The scoops are so huge that you could easily order one scoop in a cup with a cone on top. Then make another portion out of it. Assuming both of you want the same flavor.”

“I am so happy that this store opened near me. This is by far my ultimate favorite cookie place. Every single week its always a brand new menu plus I also love the fact that they have mystery cookie every week as well. Almost everything is my favorite. Peanut Butter Brownie, Banana Cake, White Chocolate Macadamia, Cookies and Cream, and more. The staff here are absolutely delightful and very friendly. It is a bit extreme but if not once, I do come twice a week 😅 I always get the Six Pack and I highly recommend to download the Crumble App for points.”

“As after any great meal, I always need to get dessert and it was great to see there was a chocolate shop in town. I walked in and the wonderful smells hit you right away. I ended up choosing quite an assortment of truffles and every single one of them was fantastic. You can really taste the care that went into each one and how smooth the chocolate was. I would certainly go back if we are ever in town again.”

“Don't let the looks deter you!! Building seems to maybe still under construction or the business is still organizing cases and counters. The sweets, treats, breads are HEAVENLY! Seriously, the best donut I've had in years. Friend's bear claw was insane. Bread is squishy and soft with nice crust. Will absolutely stop by anytime I'm in a 15 mile radius.”

“Food was really good, those large tacos are worth the money for sure. Respectful staff and they were very nice. Tacos were a bit oily but not to a diabetic amount, and the tortillas were freshly made and tasted fantastic definitely coming back here. Very good bakery as well bread was soft and sweet.”
