“My daughter is a freshman this year. I debated on the school because of the many private schools in the Bay Area, but we made the right choice! Lick is amazing!! Challenging academics, inclusive mentality and enough diversity to reflect our community (socio-economic and ethnic). The kids are challenged to step up and be future leaders and care about their community. There is a sense of independence and empowerment instilled in the kids. I cant say anything negative about the place. My kid loves it and so do I. Outstanding place to go to school... They also have a great "café" with a chef, great sports, lots of extracurricular activities and clubs, beautiful campus and incredible staff and support for the kids and the parents. I have High School Envy!”

“Our son Wesley has been going to Petite Explorers for a year and he absolutely adores it. The teachers are wonderful and the program director Vicky is very organized, responsive and attentive. It’s a wonderful preschool that we highly recommend.”

“Best middle school in the Bayview. Kids and teachers love it here and they have great results with their kids. I would take this over any public school in the area.”

“This school is amazing. The teachers, principal, staff, students, and parent community are genuinely caring, passionate, and focused on providing an exceptional education for the children. The focus on academic excellence is fantastic but it is the holistic approach to education that makes this place amazing. The school community is diverse and welcoming. The school principal and vice principal are accessible. know all of the children and families, and provide phenomenal leadership. There are so many wonderful things to say about this small school but to sum it up, this is a great community of educators, families, and friends providing an enriching environment for its students. The focus on science, technology, Spanish, and social justice provide the fundamentals that have really helped my children develop a love and passion for learning.”

“We have been so happy with our experience at HMCRA this year. The school wasn't our first choice but I'm thrilled that this is where we ended up. The facilities are beautiful, teachers lovely and principal super dedicated especially in this post pandemic year. Our son has an IEP and we have been impressed with the reading specialist, OT and school psychologist. I feel like this school is an unknown gem. If you are doing the school search, do yourself a favor and check out this sweet school!!”

“I liked this school, I wished I could play basketball here, but no. I go to Lincoln now, and man I learned a lot. What I learned here, is basically what I'm learning in Highscchool. This is not to saymy highschool sucks and just reviews, I mean that Hoover prepared me for highschool, I know how to do things other people don't. I leanred things people are just starting to comprehend now. This is overall a good school. My siblings go here, and they like it.”

“Hillwood is a great small private school with the most amazing principles one can have. Very flexible, individualized student approach that helps kids to gain self-confidence, be great peers, and form their values and respect to people and world. My second-grader easily does large numbers multiplication, division, and even pretty confident about the general idea of fractions. I should mention reading and writing skills that can be easily compared to a four-grader at least. Also I cannot say enough good words about the beautiful area and special vibe of the school. Love it!”

“Yes. It's hard and competitive. It does prepare you for college. (In fact, college felt easy compared to Lowell.) Be humbled, knowing you won't always be the best at something. I've made lifelong friends there and happy to be a graduate from Lowell. (Perspective from the early 2000s....not recently.)”
