The Boathouse At River Islands

A hidden gem of the area! My wife and I shared an ahi poke nachos which in my opinion were great, but my wife said she has had better. We didn't try their cocktails sticking with beers since they had Shadow Puppet brewery IPA, and my best half enjoyed red orange blond from CalBrew (I think). The main dishes came quickly, truth said it wasn't crowded. My boathouse burger was decent, probably would taste even better with the beef patty, but I prefer the black bean. My side salad was huge and yummy. For my wife we had seared ahi tuna salad which was great.

Very little seating inside if weather does not permit patio seating, fortunately weather was great and so was the environment on patio overlooking water. Drinks were on point and food was good but nothing to write home about as I enjoyed mine but the two I came with not as much. Our server was wonderful and very pleasant which was nice. Couple drinks, meal each and 1 appetizer $170 so not the cheapest but it's pretty chill.

I first saw this restaurant on google when it first opened and it had horrible reviews so I never gave it a shot. I noticed that lately it had great reviews so stopped by with some friends and I was impressed!

Interior looks really welcoming & nice layout/decor. Staff is really friendly as well.

The boathouse burger was beyond amazing. The nachos- I love how they give all toppings separately and chips on side; amazing as chips don’t get soggy + you actually get more food!

Crab cakes weren’t anything special and maybe a bit too pricey for quality/taste.

Overall it was really good visit & id recommended for anyone in the area. I will say this is hands down the best spot to eat at in lathrop for a dine in restaurant.
