I attended affluent schools in Dublin and Pleasanton, and had fun but didn't learn much! JFK not only taught me the basics but instilled a love of country as well. Different times. I remember watching Neal Armstrong walk on the moon from a classroom TV they set up for us and the "tuck & cover" drills that we practiced during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Teachers earned respect, Kids learned.”
