Sequoia YMCA

I love this YMCA for being a friendly and welcoming enviroment for all people. I have been a member since 2019, and I enjoy many of the classes. The front staff and all teachers are professional, kind, friendly. My favorite classes are less mills core, deep water fitness, TRX, body pump. From the classes I have taken, some of my favorite teachers (or subs) are or have been Terilyn, Susan, MariaElena, and of course Tina! Tina's energy is so contagious and she really encourages you to work hard.

Really glad to have discovered swim lessons here for my child. He needed a refresher and level 5 was perfect for him after nearly a year hiatus. The pool is clean, warm and has a 10 ft deep end for dives and treading water. Even though it was full group lessons, each child showed progress in their strokes and technique due to a great instructor who was consistent throughout the lessons. The facilities are dated but clean and lessons are reasonably priced. I had to request feedback from the instructor on my child’s progress at the end of the last lesson, but we received a mid-session report card which was a good prompt for me to ask for feedback. Big plus to see families in the community and a diverse group of kids having fun and learning together each week.

We love Sequoia YMCA! All the staff is super friendly and warm. I love that swim classes can overlap for both kids while parents get a work out in as well! I just wish the facilities were not so dated. They do a good job of keep the facilities clean as well.

I have been a SEQUOIA YMCA member since 2007. Their pool is the only warm DEEP water pool in the Bay Area. Staff is warm and welcoming, as well. I am in that pool at least 4X per week: My pool workout keeps me mobile and happy. BONUS: The friends I have made through Sequoia Y are genuinely are the BEST part of being a member!
