“I called Lenity last weekend after my recently adopted rescue dog ate something in a bush and started vomiting. The person on the phone was very friendly and said they would see him. The process is efficient and seamless, you check in from your car, complete paperwork and then my dog was taken in. He was examined and I rec'd a phone call from Dr. Zak, also very friendly and explained thoroughly his recommended treatment. Every member of the staff (vet techs Brian and Amanda, I think) was wonderful, so nice, patient and kind. I really cannot remember the last time I experienced this type of excellent service at an ER Vet and I am so thankful to have found them. After recently moving back to the Bay Area, I was concerned about finding services in this exact type of situation. I had previously used another well know Vet Specialist and did NOT want to go back there since their customer care and services had severely declined over the years. I highly recommend Lenity Vet Specialists and Emergency Care.”

I became quite attached to Dr Arjomand, but I found that all the OBGYNs in the practice offered a harmonized approach and I felt completely comfortable with any one of them should they have been on call when it was time! “Dr. Miyatake is an exceptional Oral Surgeon. I imagine she is easily at least in the top 5% of her field. I've had 7 total extractions from her over the course of my late 20s/early 30s. 6 of which were essentially pain (even without ibuprofen) and swelling free which I found to be incredibly impressive. My 7th extraction was a deeply impacted wisdom tooth next to a nerve and she graciously undertook my case despite the difficulty, a case other surgeons were afraid to perform. Even in this case, swelling and pain was quite tolerable with the prescriptions provided. I couldn't have been more pleased with her service and I have tremendous respect for the talent and skill she has in her craft. I'd recommend her to anyone without hesitation.”

“I went into the face & body shop to get my lips done for the first time. I was definitely a bit Hesitant because I’ve seen lip injection go over board and did not want to do anything I’d regret. Liz talked me through the whole thing. I told her what I was hoping to achieve and she made recommendations based on her experience but told me Yvette, their nurse would be able to make the final calls. Yvette was INCREDIBLE. She told me what she was doing each step of the way. When it may hurt, how long something would take, and what to expect recovery wise. I am SOOOO happy with the results! “OK, so first, I am a Medical Doctor, a Surgeon, not a Psychiatrist. However, I believe that mental illness is a much greater problem than our society recognizes. I have discussed my opinions with a Psychiatrist friend, and we agree. I have some personal experience with Humboldt house. Humboldt House, in San Mateo, California is a wonderful, and much needed halfway house in San Mateo for people with mental illnesses. The place is clean and neat, and the people managing the place try to make it look as attractive as possible. They are also very nice and caring people, who care about the residents. They arrange, and make sure that the residents have medical insurance. They make sure the residents have and keep their doctor appointments, that they take their medications and that they have food. During the Covid pandemic, they arranged for every resident to get vaccinated. They arranged for Covid testing, and for booster shots. Well, in general, the staff makes sure that residents with mental illness have a pleasant, and safe place to live, and they take care of them and care for them when the residents may not have anybody else to take care of them. They treat all of the residents as part of their own family, and do everything that a family member would be expected to do for them. I have personally observed that the staff also treat the residents with respect. What is a person who has a mental illness supposed to do when his or her parents get too old to care for them or die? Those who are accepted at Humboldt House or a similar facility are the lucky ones. Sadly, there are not many places like Humboldt House We desperately need more facilities such as Humboldt House everywhere in California and all across America. I have a relative who has a serious mental illness. He has been diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia, among other mental disorders. He previously had a tendency to violence and did a lot of damage to my house. He once even attacked me and tried to throw me off a third story balcony. He has been hospitalized in mental hospitals more than once. He was hospitalized in San Francisco for about 2 years several years ago. After he was discharged, arrangements were made to get him into Humboldt House. He was referred to a private Psychiatrist. His condition is now relatively well stabilized as long as he takes his medications, but he still has problems. I am well past normal retirement age, and well past my expected life expectancy. It is such a relief to know that my relative will have a safe place to live and people who will care about him and for him when I am either gone, or no longer able to take care of him.”

“As a Kaiser patient I was diagnosed with ptosis, and surgery was recommended. Because I was considering eye surgery, I wanted to have my under eye bags treated at the same time, they have bothered me since childhood. I consulted with several of Kaisers oculoplastic surgeons and reviewed before and after photos. If I were to have chosen Kaiser for my needs, I would have to have had two separate surgeries (outside of Kaiser it would mean only one surgery). I asked one of the surgeons whom they would recommend and was given the name of Dr. Newman. In addition to Dr. Newman, I also consulted with renowned surgeons in San Francisco and the East Bay. Dr. Newman had by far the most impressive, in volume and results, catalogue of before and after photos. Dr. Newman performed my surgery and I could not be more pleased with the results. Both my mom and sister said I look great, that surgery was not even noticeable; the results were so natural. They both said I just "look great and refreshed". Dr. Newman is a master and a gifted surgeon. His staff could not be more pleasant and attentive. His nurse and office manager are both exceptional and made me feel very comfortable and quickly attended to all of my questions and needs. My recovery was easy and I would highly recommend Dr. Newman. On a side note, I have worked in the medical industry for two decades, which made my very dedicated to finding "the right" surgeon for me. I even reached out to one of the sales representatives who works with dozens of plastic surgeons in California (including Dr. Newman) to vet Dr. Newman. I am so happy I took the time to do my research!”
