“Well it turns out that Aunt Em is indeed friendly. Bring cash. It's 4 stars because over all we only enjoyed 2 out of 12 items. We but keep reading to see our favorites and must try. We went on a Sunday afternoon and everything was in stock, fresh and available. We bought one of EVERYTHING because we hadn't had any of these pastries before. Most of them are a repeat of the same ingredients used in a different way. Butter, Sugar, Coconut in most of it. Everything was sweet, not overly sweet but even the savory items we slightly sweetened. The four of us tried everything right away. Here is what would consider we ordering again: Cheese Rolls⭐️ $2 ea Cheesy bread roll sweet, super flaky like baked fila dough coated with a sugar butter glaze. We could have order a couple of dozen. Ube Ensaymada $4 Brioche bread buttery rich filled with ube extract and topped with cheese. The other flavored Ensaymadas were dolce de leche and cheese in the center, sweet, salted granulated cheese on top. In our opinion those flavors we not the business. The texture is good but not the flavor combo. And maybe these: Chicken Empanadas $4 Beef Empanadas $4 These have peas, carrots and potatoes with meat. These were decent. We tried these a million different ways so our palette for these is advanced. Buko pie $5 Young coconut custard pie You gotta love coconut to like this because it is literally a pot pie with tons sugary shedded coconut and chunks of coconut meat on the inside. Not really custardy at all. This was good but we won't get it again. The Chicharrones $8, deep fried pig skin, feet, ears. Who really ever knows, but 2 of us liked those. The other 2 of us couldn't get past the smell. Stinkier than any pork rind/ anything that I have ever smelled. We really don't have any experience with Filipino pastries so we couldn't really compare it to much. I have a feeling someone with a little more experience would really enjoy a lot of these. From what I have researched these are authentic style pastries. And would likely satisfy the tastebuds of someone looking for familiar flavors from their childhood and or travels.”

“One of the friendly ladies there helped me put this amazing assortment of roses and tulips together and it was a big hit with my date, who said it was the best she’s ever received :). The lady (wish I got her name) was in tune with my budget and the overall look I wanted, and got me out of there within 5 minutes despite the heavy crowd that was coming in. Also appreciated the fact that this place didn’t do a crazy markup on Valentine’s Day, which is common elsewhere. Will definitely be coming back to support this small business which is very reasonable, customer friendly, and high quality. Thanks for making our day! 5 out of 5 stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“Brother's Furniture has been a mainstay for us since we moved to the bay area 20 years ago - since the Redwood City locations. We find their furniture to be very reliable and consistently half the cost of what you'd pay in a department store. Also, if you're not into the scandanavian style, it's full of ornate, decorative pieces as well as solid basics. I'm sitting here with my feet on a living room rug we bought for $99 12 years ago - it still has "lift" when you step on it. They deliver and haul away for a fee if you need it.”

“On two occasions during my most recent visit a customer (two different ones) asked me to move aside to make room for them to get by or to reach an item I was blocking because they were in a hurry and didn't want to wait. While I couldn't blame them I felt uncomfortable about being bothered. They weren't being rude. I was feeling sensitive. The wearing of a mask may have contributed. I'm usually away from people and shopping less. I'm not currently working.”

“My teen-aged son thought one of our dining room chairs was a rocking chair. It wasn't so the chair broke. To teach him responsibility, I had him seek some repair estimates. All of the firms he contacted told him the same thing: it can't be fixed. Then I took over and found Ric. He took on the job without flinching and less than two weeks later the chair looks like new. Ric's an artist. Plus, he helped teach my son a valuable lesson: if you want something, don't give up.”

My order was actually correct, but then again I usually go during peak hours where the restaurant is really busy, so I won't knock them too hard for getting it wrong occasionally. However, I do think that they should have more than one cashier working since there are a lot of customers in line.”
