One thing to note is that it has parking fees of $6 (CASH ONLY). That was the only downside otherwise it has really nice trails mainly because it is shaded which is perfect for summer. We did the crystal spring and dean trail. Did not find particular view points though but it was a peaceful trail.
Fabulous hiking. Well maintained. Huge trees. Great hiking paths in the shade.
Just a fabulous park for hikes and gatherings. They charge an entrance fee of $8 but it pays for the upkeep of the park clearly and the money is well spent.
Good for kids and sports as it has playgrounds and picnic areas.
Very scenic and lush trails for quick nature retreat
Has tranquil hiking trails with lush redwood trees providing plenty of shade for a cozy hike. Picnic areas and an archery range are also available within the park. Many trails are open for equestrian use. Parking incurs a $6 charge.
We camped here for a weekend and it was fun! Lots of space for kids to run and have fun. Hiking trails run everywhere, and they can fit all needs from easy trails to more difficult ones. You're likely to run into horse riders in trails, and cyclists on the roads running through the park.
