“We are so lucky to have found Ms. Betty. We have been sending our two boys here for four years now starting when they are 8 and 3 months old. Ms. Betty does such a great job taking care of the children. My younger son is very prone to diaper rash. He develops a rash almost every weekend, but he never gets a diaper rash during the weekdays when he is with Ms.Betty. I am amazed how clean and tidy she keeps the daycare, and because of her effort, she was able to keep the daycare open the entire time during COVID. Ms. Betty's cooking is great. I love the delicious and hearty smell coming out of her kitchen every morning. The kids eat so well there. Ms. Betty offers an amazing program. The kids do a lot of fun crafts and their reading and maths are more advanced than most kids their age. She also teaches them good manners and how to express their feelings and resolve conflicts. Most importantly, Ms. Betty loves children from the bottom of her heart. She treats the children like her own and treats the parents like family. We don't have family nearby, so when I went to delivery my younger son, my older one stays with her for a couple days. When my older son started preschool, he does not like the lunch I made for him, and when I told Ms. Betty, my son misses her food she offered to packed him lunch everyday. She adjusted her whole morning routine just so she can get the lunch ready for him every morning. Ms. Betty also knitted three really cute hats for my younger son when he was born. There are countless things like this and I can see that she does not treat the daycare as a job, rather she does what she do because she really loves spending time nurturing and caring for the children. And the kids feel the love and thrive there. They have a bright smile everyday when I pick them up and are always eager to go to the daycare in the morning. We had a detour with my older son. We transferred him to a bilingual preschool when he was three because we wanted him to have more opportunity to use Mandarin. He was never happy there and always asked to come back to Ms. Betty's even one year after the transfer. Eventually we came back and within days we can see him becoming happier and more outgoing. This detour showed me how other daycare operates and made me appreciate Ms. Betty even more. Not only is Ms. Betty great. She has a very high standard for the teachers that work for her, and we just have so much peace of mind knowing our kids are in such great hands.”

“My 9 year son has been taking piano lessons from Ms. Iva for almost a year now and he absolutely loves her. Ms. Iva is strict on the proper styles and finger positions but also super patient with my son. For a lot of missed lessons, Ms. Iva and the school are very accommodating in the make up lessons. I am super happy about the progress my son has made in the last year. He wouldn’t have done it without his fantastic teacher!”

“We love this school. I enrolled her during pandemic and they provided online class and toy/art material pick up day. Their art activities are process oriented, creative and fun. We had so much fun things together even while we stuck at home. Their play area is big and safe enough to have a whole morning session when in person class started. All the teachers are loving, caring and patient. They always use positive words that has a magic to solve the problems. Not only my daughter I enjoy the school. “The schools isn’t as bad as many reviews say it is. Nonetheless, it isn’t great. 4 main feeder schools go into Sunnyvale middle. Cherry chase, Cumberland, Ellis, and Vargas. Ellis and Vargas are not the nicest schools and that has a profound effect on the general ambiance. That being said, most of the kids from cherry chase and Cumberland are good enough to make up for it. There are bad kids, and there are good kids. There are a small number of bad kids who feel as if it is their obligation to screw up the school. These select few get into fights, vandalize, and skip. They have a no tolerance policy for fighting but they don’t do much for the other 2. The teachers are mixed as well. I’d say the majority of them are good teachers (If you get Ms. Mckell, fear for your life). Overall, I enjoyed my time there.”

“As we are on the same campus as FASSV, Harmony Dance Center has the pleasure to teach dance to all their PreK students for a 10 week session. We have been interacting with the staff, the teachers and the students for the past 15 years. We are always impressed by how teachers from the French American School of Silicon Valley interact with their students. They are very attentive and very patient with them. We also enjoy how the students are eager to learn about dance, rhythm and music. Also the admin staff is always welcoming, responsive and a pleasure to work with.”

“My son has attended Delor for 5 months now and we've been incredibly happy with the school and teachers. As our fourth child, we have experience at other daycares where we attended previously. It's not fancy but they have a loving team of teachers that are seasoned and passionate. My son has been loved and cared for by Ms. Isabel, Lisa and Janely in the infant room. We were enrolled somewhere else and extremely unhappy with their covid policy so happy that we were able to find a place that works for us.”
