What an amazing hidden gem! We had a wonderful weekend at this charming property. Really great room design and outdoor amenities e.g. the fire pits and the beautiful garden. Conveniently located within walking distance to the town center. Most importantly, the service is fantastic - everyone is so friendly. Would give 6-stars if I could!
If I could give 6 stars for this place, I would. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, the staff exceeded our expectations in level of service. The venue was very well maintained and clean. The restaurant and café had a variety of delicious dishes, coffee and snacks. I highly recommend this hotel!
This place is a dream! It far exceeded our expectations in every way possible. The rooms are amazing, the furniture is spectacular, the service is second to none, the bar is beautiful and the food is delicious. Definitely our new go-to location for or weekend getaways in Sonoma. I would give them a sixth star for the service if I could.
Found the hotel by happenstance - stopped for a lunch at Layla and fell in love with the property. We were staying at another hotel but promptly checked out and checked in at MacArthur Place instead! The property was incredibly beautiful with plenty of winding garden paths between buildings, lots of places to sit and enjoy the scenery with swings and fire pits. The room was similarly beautiful and well decorated. Everything in the hotel feels very deliberate and thoughtful, with a perfect mix of luxury and comfort. Service was exceptional. Hands down one of our favorite parts about the visit here, will definitely come back!
Definitely a 5 star stay. Fantastic aesthetics, with a very friendly atmosphere. Would highly recommend for a luxury stay in Sonoma.
Pros:
- Lovely, well kept rooms. We stayed in Jasmine Cottage which was spacious and beautiful
- Restaurant and bar was excellent.
- Service throughout the hotel was friendly and efficient (Miranda at Layla was fantastic)
We were particularly impressed by the Hotel Manager. He is ever present, focused on all the small details of the place, isn’t afraid to help out (we saw him collecting room service plates & cleaning a stain off the floor) and seems to be warmly respected by all the staff. The hotel is very well run and that is no surprise, given this type of visible leadership.
Cons:
- Gym is a little small.
- Drinks service at pool is limited.
