Laird Regional Park

Calm. Nice soft grass. Great for a day with a picnic

Beautiful scenic public space! Lots of places to explore, seems to be a popular fishing spot. Ample shade, grass, and picnic areas. Saw blue herons, and a local said there are also turtles!

Only reason I don't give 5 stars is because it seems to have fallen into disrepair, and this may be because of how folks are treating it. There is trash everywhere! I picked up two bags worth on my visit, consider doing the same if you also care about natural spaces and the wildlife inhabiting it :)

Really basic but I love it. It has pretty shade if you wanna chill in your car. There's access to water if you wanna go swimming but at your own risk.

Very peaceful until you run into the homeless parked in the good fishing spots. Water is very low but there was surprisingly less trash in the floor. We still found peace and happiness through it all. With Jesus everything becomes joyful

This is a really big park! It's on a huge bend in the river, and has tons of sandy areas along the banks. There's a fairly good primitive boat launch area right next to the overpass. Hardly ever more than 2 or 3 people there at any given time.
