“Lower Springhill campground offers... FREE CAMPING for the entire family, from small tents to 32-ft motorhomes, they have 3 outhouses, easy access to the river, lots of trails to follow. Don't forget to bring your fishing poles, your bicycles, camera or a good old book get some R&R You might even enjoy a 🧺 picnic by the water while making family memories. We celebrated a birthday & Easter with our traditional dinner and Easter egg hunt.”

“I loved that we had the option of chilling at the water by our site or going to the swimming hole. The water was so chill this year it was an easy innertube ride down the river into the swimming hole. (But most summers I do not recommend going down the river without a life vest.)I jumped off the rock! That was fun! But I highly recommend plugging your nose. I got all waterlogged which made the experience less fun. Campsites are close in proximity but not stacked on top of eachother. The walk-in sites go over seriously rocky terrain making a simple wagon difficult to pull!! They are also very far from the bathrooms.. The plus side of the walk-in sites is privacy from the main road. Especially if you're bad like me and my friends and are noisy late into the night and building small fires hoping no one sees LOL... Nice spot, not too much shade. Bring your canopies, lots of sunblock, and bug spray& centinela candles! The campground host is pretty easy going. There isn't much space for extra cars to park on-site, but there is free parking at the turnout across the road.”

“Let me tell you this is a really quaint spot....if you want the real camping experience but with a pillow top mattress and just pleasant comfortable surroundings this is the place to be... They have taken all the amenities of camping and made the not so pleasant parts a pleasure.... it has everything at your disposal from rafts to bikes to swim shoes just a nice experience all around. The camp host was a pleasure aswell.... She was attentive and friendly and I highly recommend this place .”

“We go camping here to Kern River EVERY YEAR THUS FAR! God willing , for years to come . It's tradition , river has its ups and downs , but a good place to start tradition ! Depending on when you go, it might be packed . Make sure you bring EXTRA SUNBLOCK, just when you think you have enough brig another bottle or 3. Oh and check the water level prior to going. Bring rope , for rescuing someone if needed:)”

“Stayed with friends at spots 18 and 19 in early October. We had sites closest to the main road which turned out to still be pretty quiet. We could hear the Kern River down below, and an easy minute or so walk down proved worth it. There was a bit of foot traffic by fisherman down the path behind these campsites, otherwise they were very private and were roomy with plenty of privacy. Bathrooms were close and fairly well-maintained, and a short walk away was the "Croc Rock" which was a fun surprise. Highly recommended!”

“I Love camping here with my family and friends. We Love it soo much that we had to go visit for the day. 3 to 4 hours driving to get there,but it's worth it. I can't wait to go camping in July this year. We been going camping here for years, but we had stopped going for a few years for personal reasons. Time to get back. Beautiful place ❤🏕”
