We stayed a week here and it was not as bad as everyone makes it seem it’s really nice and very clean people are friendly and helpful staff and always doing events for kids and families... yes it’s by the freeway but it’s not bad because we played music and didn’t hear much the only thing that we didn’t like was there was a small restroom and shower there need to be more for the amount of people that are there but other then that it’s a very beautiful place (if your going to the beach exit and go left and follow the bike trail it’s faster and a nicer spot)
California is an expensive State to visit. The coast, more so than even the rest of the State. That said, I love this park. It is clean, well maintained, not too rowdy, seemed safe and is walking distance to the beach. The showers are warm and free. Pool was clean and cool and the hot tub was, well, hot. Most the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. Rite-Aid and a small shopping center are a little more than half a mile away on foot. On Saturdays there is a shuttle to Main St. Remember it can be very cool by the beach even in summer and the sun can burn you right through the haze/fog.
Very nice place with level lots close to the beach and town. Feels secure with guarded entrance. Quiet during the week - becomes more active on the weekends. Only reason I give it 4 instead of 5 stars... restrooms need an update. Will definitely be returning.
Stayed here for three weeks a few years ago. The park is beautiful with spacious sites and full hookups. Staff maintains the landscaping as well as public facilities. On site special events are offered on some weekends. Security is tight, requires all park visitors to wear wristband when outside...visitors must pay a daily fee for entrance and parking. Right off the 101 freeway, so always street noise. No beach access from the park. Gets very crowded during the weekends... generally quiet during the week.
