“Travis made mattress shopping fun! I used to think of it as being as much fun as a trip to a used car sales lot. So the last time I bought a mattress, I avoided stores and got a Casper bed online, which was a mistake- it became so uncomfortable after the trial period. So i decided to give a mattress store another chance after multiple friends referred me here. I’m glad I went. Travis changes the game! He is caring about your budget and getting you into the right mattress for your body’s needs. He knows his stuff. We ended up getting a nice deal on the Organic Roots mattress, our favorite in the store and happened to be the line of mattresses he designed. He went the extra mile to have it delivered at a time that is good for us. Amazing customer service and a great person. Highly recommend this store.”

“For at least five years I have enjoying the pilates experience with Donna and now Eva at Pure Pilates. When I started I felt that my body was neglected, by me, while I created a home in Ventura for handicapped adults. As a caregiver, mother and now grandmother, I know it is crucial to take care of myself. This means physically and emotionally. The Pure Pilates studio classes have enabled me to keep my body in good condition, not to mention the satisfaction of having a good figure. It also helps my mind and attitudes about the challenges I face each day. After a pilates session, I feel better about everything I confront. Pure Pilates provides a healthy experience for minds and bodies. I highly recommend making a commitment to the Pure Pilates studio.”

“One of the few true blue "local comic shops" left in the world. Mostly games at this point but still have a big chunk of store dedicated to current issues and back catalog comics. Been going since the 90s, still love this spot. Huge area of tables and I often see people gaming there. Some other collectibles sold as well. If you're into anything nerd, it's well worth checking out”

“Lovely unassuming place. The owners were very helpful and knew just what I was looking for. I went in with a list for a recipe I was trying and the lady (perhaps one of the owners) helped me make short work of the list. They also have a small selection of hard-to-find produce like Thai green chillies, okra, etc. Pictures posted.”

“I miss this little school. My daughter went here for kindergarten and first grade. We moved out of the area otherwise she'd still be there. The teachers are involved and really care about their students and families. The location is amazing, it's literally on the beach, and it really feels like a true neighborhood school. Almost everyone walked or road their bike, everyone knew the crossing guard, it's a truly special place.”

“I just completed the Basic Sailing class and it was so much fun!! I had zero sailing experience when I started and I learned so much in 16 hours of class. The instructors are very passionate about sailing, skilled and patient with beginners. The boats are nice and Marina Park is a terrific place to hold the classes. My class consisted of four 4 hr classes on Saturdays and the time flew by. The classes start with a short lecture and learning how to tie various knots (we used these on the boat) and then we were on the water in every class! The fee was extremely reasonable at $137 for 16 hours (Ventura County residents pay $125). Great fun and met some wonderful people. If you are even remotely thinking about trying sailing, check this place out. It's a great find! A side note - they also offer beginning paddle boarding and kayaking here.”
