I had Drake's beers down in South Bay, so when I found out a friend was going to take me to a Drake's in Sac, I quickly checked to see the chance it was the same company...and it was!
The venue here is fantastic!! Huge space and lots of seating.
You can order drinks inside and outside.
They often have events, so be sure to lookout for those to join in or avoid big crowds.
Street parking only.
A warm evening for summer concerts, and the bands were excellent. Parking was difficult this evening because the river cats were also playing. The food selection was great and the pizza's taste yummy. They don't take cash, debit or credt. A good variety of alcohol choices. The area was great to have kids running around while you watch and enjoy yourself. This is also an animal friendly location.
Went to Drake's for the first time tonight, and it was so fun, and it was so nice. I felt like I didn't want to let the night end. This business is hopping, and my guess is that they'll continue to thrive for many, many years to come. What a vibe.
Family's and friends and couples have a place to go and enjoy the outdoors with live music, fire pits, cornhole and so much more. I'm looking forward to my next visit!!!
Such a unique place with a great atmosphere. Definitely one of our top favorite hangout spots around. It’s great for the whole family (pups too), my kids love running around and playing on the logs while my husband and I sit back and watch nearby. There is SO much space, I’ve never seen it “too” packed. Wait times for food can be awhile when they are busy (naturally) but we’ve never minded. Absolutely recommend checking it out at least once, but I bet you’ll wanna come back again!
Be prepared if you're driving on a popular time and day. Know the public parking options available. I ended up paying $22 to park on the street, but didn't know about a cheaper parking structure. This is obviously not Drake's fault, just putting out a word to the wise.
I had a great time at Drake's, food wasn't amazing, pizza was super wet and limp but I didn't go there for oven roasted pizza. The atmosphere was resort-like with so many places to post up. The live music was fantastic, a band called Windstorm was there and rocked the house. If all the dancers and music was too much and you wanted more quiet, the place is so large, you can easily find a quieter fire pit to surround and chill.
Don't bring your good shoes :-) I don't know if my good sandals will ever look the same, a lot of dirt and trail DG. It wasn't a super hot day, but misters were out while the Sun was up and the fires were lit when it cooled down.
All this said and I haven't even mentioned the beer, I found my favorite, and they have a large selection of draft, premium and local libations.
I'm looking forward to going back, give it a shot, it's definitely a cool spot to hang out with a group of friends, bring your dog, chill and just enjoy beautiful happy people.
