Temple Beth Ami A Reform

“Temple Beth Ami is not just a Reform Temple. It provides a complete Jewish Community in the City Santa Clarita. I first found out about Temple Beth Ami when I heard that it was hosting an event for Senator Bernard Sanders. Senator Sanders is not only Jewish, he was as a young man a member of, "Hasomer Hatziar", a Jewish Organization that dedicates itself to social equality and the ongoing fight for both social justice and a sense of "Community" for all of those who fight for social justice. Temple Beth Ami, the Temple Of The House Of Friendship. Even though I live in Studio City, which is a 45 minute drive from the Santa Clarita, I believe that Temple Beth Ami is a place where Community, Spirituality and commitment to social justice exists. Certainly all of those in the United States, even non-Jews, should be creating similar places that combine the core qualities that are required to elevate all peoples who are seeking a commitment to social justice, a commitment to human values and a commitment to spirituality.”

“I just moved to the neighborhood this year after my marriage. I usually daven in the Pico Robertson area for the high holidays. But, I'm married now so we looked for something closer. My wife isn't as observant as I am so she doesn't feel as comfortable as I do going to shul. I looked online and tried to get a feel for the shuls around us to try and choose the right one. Erev Rosh Hashana I came here for the first time. It was pretty empty for being Erev Rosh Hashana, I mean there was a minyan but this is erev Rosh Hashana all the Jews in the neighborhood should be popping out of the woodwork. Anyways, as soon as I walk in I'm greeted with such warm and inviting faces and smiles I immediately felt comfortable. The Rabbi greeted me as well. We finished arvit and the Rabbi introduced himself and was very friendly and warm and invited me to come in the next day. I came in the next day and then place was PACKED. It felt great. Everyone here is warm kind and all smiles. My wife came with me this time and the Rabbis wife introduced herself to her and was friendly and welcoming. I came here for both days of the chag and really enjoyed it. I didn't want to go anywhere else. If you're looking for an inviting welcoming warm place to come and celebrate the holidays or just for Shabbat you can't go wrong here. I saw people of all backgrounds and levels of observance have a good time.”
