“The first time we walked in the front door at St. Peter Lutheran Church was a Sunday more than 25 years ago. Valerie and I were looking for a new church then, and it has been a blessing ever since. The people, the pastor, and the events have all be a major part of our lives since, and will be forever I’m sure. What a pleasure it is to sit next to people every Sunday who care about what’s going on in my life just like I care about what’s going on in their lives, good or not so good. Pastor Dave has been a wonderful pastor. His sermons are memorable, to the point, and totally non-political. Kids of all ages are always involved when possible and practical. He oversees the activities of the church with close attention and points people in the right direction when necessary. I can say from experience that he is there when you need him to be. In addition to being on Church Council, teaching High School Sunday School, overseeing the Property Committee and being on numerous committees over the years, we have enjoyed the activities connected with the major holidays (Easter, Christmas, etc.). Again, when you are working with people you care about, it makes a big difference. Some of our friends at St. Peter we have known since we started going there. In fact, some we have known before we started going there. These people aren’t just friends, they are “family”. What a blessing it is to sit next to friends/family every week who believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that everyone in the room is praying the same way you are and is there for the same reason you are…to develop their relationship with God.”
