Nikki Olsen Certified Advanced Rolfer

I've taken a handful of Rolf Movement classes with Nikki and each time I leave feeling more embodied and even more curious. As if there is an open ended quest to continue exploring my movement potential. Nikki has plenty tricks up her sleeve to help you become aware of your movement patterns and dissolve blocks to reach a higher awareness within your body. Her professionalism and personable nature made me feel welcomed and empowered to step into her space. I'm thrilled and will be going back for more!

Recently I received a thorough, helpful, and informative introduction to using kettlebells with Nikki. At the end of our session, she recommend great additional online resources and gave me a written summary of the exercises we practiced.

Nikki was one of my original Rolfing instructors when I trained to become a Rolfer. Her kind but grounded approach was not just appealing but served as a great model for how to be a Rolfer.

Nikki's is a very intuitive pain-free rolfer/healer. I highly recommend her to anyone who is ready to address healing from the wholistic mind/body/spirit connection. I've learned so much about how the muscles respond to the entire nervous system and am witness to how Nikki communicates through gentle manipulation of affected areas to soften the tissues to allow space for healing. I am exited to continue my practice with her and am about to embark on her movement classes to address misalignments in how I literally walk/carry myself through the material world. It is a process and a process of re-learning so be prepared to commit well-deserved time to your healing. Nikki is an excellent coach!

Nikki has great skill in observing how you move and bringing you toward what is possible. She blew away my expectations and left me excited about being able to move better than I have in a long time.

While visiting Boulder last week, I had the opportunity to have a Rolf Movement session. Nikki Olsen had me working hard to increase both movement and awareness of my spine, in sitting, standing, and walking. By the end of the hour, for the first time in my life (!!!!!) I could feel my arms responding to the motion in my spine and walking felt light and easy.

After returning home, my physical therapist was curious to know what I had learned in the Rolf Movement session. After I explained the sequence that Nikki had taken me through in detail, she proclaimed, "Very functional. Keep doing that - that will be extremely good for you." So, I enjoyed the session, increased both range of motion and ease, took a lot home with me to think about and practice, and in the end it was PT approved!

Nikki is truly a fantastic practitioner. It's not a exaggeration (or a trite cliché) to say she takes a wholistic approach. She quickly spots where the challenges originate- even if the discomfort is elsewhere. I've been impressed by her ability to find the perfect cue, the perfect movement, or perfect hands-on technique to get my body into a better place. I especially like that I leave with a small piece of homework to help. maintain the momentum of our sessions. Can't wait to get back in Nikki's office!
