I recently visited First Watch restaurant for breakfast, and I have to say it was one of the best breakfasts that I have ever tried. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed with the warm and friendly atmosphere of the restaurant. The staff was welcoming and attentive, and the service was excellent throughout my meal.
Lake Nona, FL. Sebastian the manager got us a table outside immediately, even though it was Sunday with the usual 30 minute wait. *Outside is self-seating he said, and the weather was wintry cool and perfect. He got a table cleared for us and we were escorted to our table.
Sam and Jaylen gave us excellent service. Like most of the First Watch staff I’ve met from here to Tennessee they were young, bright and personable. I listened in on the other servers assigned outside and they all came off as relaxed, welcoming and intuitive.
I asked Sam about her take on why First Watch attracts consistently bright, young servers and she said she’s worked in food service for 11 years, 5 with First Watch, and they have a reputation for a team approach in service. So if your table is behind a team member will help you out but not steal your table from you. I added we came to get a gift card this past week and Jaylen noticed me waiting at the front and, even though he was busy with a table, immediately helped me with my purchase and invited me back to eat at the restaurant on another day. It’s great to see all team members so focused and positive with good morale, especially now (post-pandemic).
My husband had the French Toast with 3 rashers of thick-cut bacon. I had the Tri-Athlete. Everything was amazingly consistent with the high quality we’ve experienced at other First Watches. Highly recommend.
Great brunch spot. They have an extensive menu that includes breakfast items, sandwiches, and cocktails. We got the biscuits and Turkey Gravy and the traditional eggs Benedict. Both were good, gravy wasn't perfect consistency and the eggs Benedict was perfectly poached. Also, love the addition of the tomato on the Benny.
OK so after coming there many times I can write a solid review.
Price is a bit high but fair how they run the business.
Very professional and rustic look.
The juice is freaking awesome and a must. Had lavender lemonade and watermelon something the first time and after we went all out on the juices.
Million dollar ba on is my daughter's favorite.
Atmosphere is OK sometimes I think they need more shade for this burning heat. Especially if wife is preggo and you have kids.
Service is good all around. Always busy place so might wait.
Can't wait to come again
We waited 30 minutes in our car . Then we got to our tables and waited roughly another 30 minutes for our food…. IT WAS WELL WORTH IT!!! You will have to understand and accept that First Watch is a very busy place, due to how much people love it! The breakfast were very presentable. The food had such a good quality to it. You can taste the difference compared to other restaurants. The quantity of each plate was exceptional. The value of each plate was very reasonable. A MUST TRY. You will enjoy.
