“After being kicked out of Excel Academy and being released from the Gilliam (juvie jail) Lincoln was my last option to graduate, Last year when Mr.Lopez was the athletic director he really showed caring, Always believing in me and helping me with what I need, And the dean Mr.Gurule (Who is a rough one at times) showed caring with tough love, I used to think he was picking on me when I realize that he was just trying to make me do good and stop being a fool, The population is mostly Hispanic (Mexican mostly) which is why our school is looked down by the Trump media, But in the end our school has approved, More students graduating (including me) and it doesn’t matter what race you are because no color is protected from ignorance nor corruption. There are classes taught in Spanish for non-English speaking people which is great because my belief is that anybody has a right to an education. Yes some of the students are delinquents (I know for a fact) But there are bad kids of all types at every school in the world, Bullying isn’t an issue here compared to Kennedy (Kennedy gives no one any disciplinary action but out of school suspension which is what they want.) While Lincoln will hold bad behavior accountable, My first offense for having an altercation with another student got me 3 days in ISS which is not fun at all but necessary. I highly recommend Lincoln considering that no other school really cares if you graduate or not besides Excel. I got my diploma and first job because of Lincoln. No other school gave me anything to take advantage of.”
