Wonderful place to ride. Super beautiful.
Good hike, bring water in the summer.
One of the better open space I've been too. Definitely very nice scenery on a clody day. Everything looks more sharp, with more contrast.
Peaceful, uncrowded park out in the country near Larkspur, Colorado. The drive there from metro Denver going down Perry Park Road from Sedalia is very scenic. Beautiful views of red rocks and rolling foothills. The trails are smooth and easy for the most part, except for a few more challenging sections. This park just opened last year so it is not widely known and therefore uncrowded. This was originally planned to be a housing development and I am so glad it was saved as open space. If you are into geology, this is a great park for seeing the Lyons formation, which is the red rocks plus the Lykins formation which is the white limestone to the east of it. And if you look due east of the parking lot, you can see an ancient volcano which I included a picture of here. It's not actually in the park. It's the same type of geologic formation as the famous castle rock by the town of Castle Rock.
