“I have been in lessons for 6 weeks now and my lesson days at Cottonwood Riding Club have quickly become my favorite day of the week. Learning a new skill as an adult can be intimidating, but the support from everyone I've encountered has been so wonderful! Beth has made me feel so welcome and I really appreciate the hard work she does to keep things organized, as well as pairing me with a trainer who fits my learning style. I cannot rave enough about Judy and how thoughtful she is with my lessons. Any strides I have made in these six weeks are because of how supportive Judy is and she consistently keeps me challenged week to week. I could go on about the staff, but I'll just say that everyone has been so lovely and I truly cherish the time I get to spend at Cottonwood Riding Club and with the school horses.”

“This is one my favorite trail heads in Denver for a couple of different reasons: it's always quiet (never more than a small handful of cars in the parking lot), it's a different atmosphere than most Denver hikes (prairie compared to pine trees), and it connects up to Roxborough State Park free of charge (if you're okay with at least an 8-mile round trip hike). The views of the prairie and downtown are spectacular, and the wildflower bloom here in the spring is a sight to see. Come in April or May for the best greenery and weather. It can be windy, so pack a light jacket.”
