Du Pont Park

Visiting my son who lives in nearby community and he wanted to show me this nice short hiking trail he enjoys. Amazed at how the park looks with ball diamond, park shelter and the Greenest grass surrounding I've seen in Colorado. Yes I'm from the Midwest. The short trail eventually took us to a creek with and abundance of deer just grazing and checking us out. For some reason it felt like the air was cooler with humidity versus the dry air your accustom too once you leave the park. Maybe explains the abundance of trees and greenery. Nice Job with the Park

Love this park! It's got a great ball field and playground, the turf is nice and green and have bathrooms! Needs more shade for sure. There is no cover, but other then that, it's awesome!!

The Douglas County land conservation led its annual bird sighting Memorial day hike . The open space has varied vegetation and water features. MANY species of birds sighted.

We love this place because you don't have to fight a crowd ever. It is quite and a place to get out and go when you want to be out and about but don't want to mess with other people.

I take my granddaughter here on a weekly basis. She likes the slides and the climbing. There is also a baseball field. I would caution you to look for poison ivy as you're walking through the woods behind the park which has a trail.
