During the surgery, he found evidence of metastatic cancer, and we discovered her condition was quite serious. Because she had just moved to Colorado, she did not have a primary care physician, and instead of "turning her over" to a stranger, he followed her care and provided advice, options and counseling to us during the last weeks of her life, even though she was no longer in his service.
